What is your favorite energy drink and why?

I work with some of the younger generation and I’ve seen them downing tall cans of the stuff. Being an all day black coffee drinker myself I can’t blame anyone for wanting a little boost. I decided to start sampling the Monsters, Redbulls, Throttles and whatever to see what it was all about.

I went purely by how I liked the design of the cans. Then I narrowed it down to taste and lastly effect. I ended up with Sobe Essential Energy Berry Pomegranate. It tastes like liquid Jolly Rancher, has vitamin C and B-12 and does not make me feel edgy.

Does the energy drink say anything about the person drinking it?

As being the only caffeine I'll drink.....I like Monsters (The Green one) Or Full Throttles (Red or Blue). Monsters seem to last longer and don't have too much of a crash. Full Throttles give me a great pick-up, last for 4-5 hours and don't seem to crash hard either. Plus I like their taste better. People have different taste though, just my two cents.

For effect I choose 5 hour or 6 hour energy shots. Fucking works amazing, I always doubted it until I tried it.. don't drink this if you are going to sleep within 8 hours

Besides that I drink redbull, if they don't have the energy shot or if I'm mixing it with liquor, etc. etc.

For taste I choose bawls, a lan center I used to go to always carried it, it tasted similar to mountain dew but kicked like a redbull, good shit

I pretty much drink anything. Energy drinks and caffeine in general don't really have a strong effect on me. The healthier ones with less caffeine and more things like ginseng, b-12, etc. work just as well on me and aren't as bad for you. But I try to stay away from them in general. Most have quite a bit of calories and aren't worth it.

To prevent situations in which I would want an energy boost such as an energy drink, I just go to sleep at a reasonable hour and don't sleep in too long. This does take some daily task and time management, but to me it's worth the effort.

Well, check me off for family (most within a few blocks' radius) and one young daughter. The job isn't so demanding as long as it isn't my week to be on-call (once every 3 weeks).

Anyway, I'll just consider myself blessed and be suitably awestruck by how everyone else does it.

I like the diet redbull... tastes better than the regular redbull and it'll whip necro into a frenzy because I'm consuming fermaldahyde. I usually only drink about a third of one though, I used to guzzle them, but they seem to work just fine in little shots.

Redbull = outgoing, alcoholic tendancies

Diet Redbull = necropheliac

Bawls = you like bawls and a bumpy blue bottle and shop at Target

Rockstar = you wish you were one and you let everyone know it by carrying around a tallcan of it. (These people may actually have the drive to become rock stars)

Gatorade = athletic, health conscious, tight and fit

Sobe = dirty whole foods shopping hippies

I wouldn't say caffeine brings him down, but there is never really a discernible difference. If I drink alcohol then my body immediately goes into FULL ALERT mode.

Cherry BAWLS is my favorite. I can't stand Red Bull, it smells like friggin' cough syrup. I had to limit myself to one can per day though, the second one gets me tweakin'.

I don't know :wtf: is in this shit, but for the sake of the beverage's name, Red Bull adds taurine to it, which is your everyday amino acid that emulsifies bile salts.

Now, in addition to the caffeine kick of Bawls, they lace it up like a damn schoolgirl's footwear with some other stimulant shit. I can drink shit tons of Red Bull, coffee and green teas (not to mention fly amanitas, wormwood, passion flower, sassafras root bark and ~50x salvia) but whatever the chemical content of Bawls is, it's hardcore shit.

My bawls' chemical content are mostly sperm and unbridled rage; but that shit is just unacceptable. I wouldn't mix it with Everclear -- As that'd be high-balling worse than coke and heroin.

I rarely drink energy drinks anymore, but 5 hour energy works great if I'm seriously dragging. I used to be a Red Bull junkie, but I always used to get all groggy like an hour after drinking one.
