Those will be gone within 4 to 8 minutes, I'd wager.
Nice find, Bob

Edited my above post to reflect the absurdity that was that attempt at an actual inventory

That's insane... how is this still possible?
Anyway, SBB should be in my mailbox when I get home from work today :giddy:

Wiis for $250? Hell, I would buy one...if I owned a TV.
In retrospect, I still should have bought one.

I'm getting a 360 and Rock Band over the weekend.. I don't know how readily I'll be able to throw Brawl in there too. :(

Took me 2-3 weeks of rabidly stalking various internet sites to get my Wii last year...August or so. I ended up getting it from sears.com of all places. I can't believe there is still such a shortage, but I imagine a lot of it has to do with resellers buying up gobs of them.

Circuit City has them now, but you're forced into buying a bundle where you also get three+ of the following:
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Party 8
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Wii Play (get this)
Super Paper Mario
Super Smash Brothers Brawl (get this)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Nyko Charge Station
Pretty bullshit that nunchucks aren't listed, but whatever. It's a Wii.

Any thoughts on Metroid? And nunchucks come with the console

A guy I work with said Metroid is awesome and has some of the best controls with the Wii remote. I assumed it would be awkward but I haven't played it yet.
The console comes with 1 nunchuck; if you get Wii Play (obviously for the remote) you're going to need another.

I have metroid and it is awesome, the controls are really fantastically laid out. As Bob said, one chuck w/ the console. SMG also has great controls, it doesn't use a lot of the motion sensing, but it plays like a 64 controler that lets you play w/ your arms apart (which is huge for the whole sitting way down and being a super couch potato).
Do you need chucks for each controller in SBB? I have 4 motes and 2 chucks, do I need to get 2 more to play 4 person SBB?

<<Do you need chucks for each controller in SBB?>>
You can play with remote, remote+nunchuck, or classic controller. It just changes the button layout depending on what you do it with.

haha...i told the guy one office over about the best buy thing yesterday after it was sold out and he replied with "Please let me know next time there's a sale. I really need one of these." I told him about CC as soon as i read the post. About 5 minutes ago I hear this loud, "GODDAMNIT, WHAT THE FUCK?! NOOOOO!!" come from his office.
Apparently he missed the window. hahahaha...

I'm assuming the best layout is the remote+nunchuck? Obviously changes by taste, but I figure I don't want to gyp any of my friends w/ shitty controls (fucking amazon screwed up shipping, still haven't gotten SBB).
Can I use the GC plugs to play using a wavebird? (that's probably better than just remote... i got two classics for christmas but don't want to open them because they're worthless and I'd rather return them for dollahz)

Yes.

I'm not positive on the GC thing, but I've been told that the classic controller is the closest Wii component to the Wavebird so the controls feel a lot better if you're used to playing Melee on it. Other than that, remote+nunchuck is the best way to play if you don't already have an affinity for GC.

Toys R Us sucks dick, but you can get it from there if you want to pay ridiculous S&H + tax with a base cost of $500.

I've tried playing my copy of Smash with the Wiimote and nunchuck and classic controller. It works, but, meh. Playing with the Wii remote only is damn near impossible.
I use my Wavebird when playing. Pretty much the only way to play if you're not coming into the series new.

All I know is I love the baseball vs the plasma tv commercial.
Oh and I love that it's baseball season. Do they have online leagues for this shit yet ?

The Target near me had 20-30 Wii's out on the shelves the other day. It was like seeing a UFO or bigfoot.
