How the hell do they expect a melee class to do this task?

>society task

You currently have 9784 out of 10000 recognition points needed to reach your next rank.

You have been tasked to locate and kill a Grimswarm shaman. The shaman must provide an adequate challenge for your level of experience.

Warcamp, Shaman's Hut]
A blood-covered slab of stone sits in the center of the hut directly between the entryway and a bone and hide altar. Crudely fashioned cages hang from hooks in the ceiling and birds of varying species fearfully gaze out from behind the thin bars. The air is thick with the scent and smoke of burning herbs in randomly placed braziers, creating a scented haze that fills the room. The floor crunches underfoot, carpeted with cast off carcasses and the remains of numerous sacrifices. You also see a Grimswarm troll bodyguard, a Grimswarm troll bodyguard, a Grimswarm troll bodyguard and a Grimswarm troll shaman.

They sent me to kill a giant warparty at level 3. Their CS was over 100 more than my TD. Their AS was 150 more than my DS. Fuck Sunfist.

LoL. I'm gonna start a campaign of BUG reports for uphunting in general every time my Warrior can't ward critter CS because I went out hunting without begging for the entire spirit and elemental spell list. You know, I probably should: It's honestly that ridiculous.

Fortunately for me, I only had my mutant higher-stamina Bard join Sunfist.

Hey, we had 52 the other night logged in. You figure that's pretty good because most of us are all in the same general area when resting, so it can feel like prime's numbers due to world-wide thoughts, majority of resters are in the landing, etc.

Regardless, Hunter's problem is there is not another person in the GoS that is anywhere near him in levels. Closest person is most likely me at level 76, but he's just about 10 levels over me, so the grim are too tough for me to help...

Also, there is just a lack of players even in that level range. So even non-GoS, he can't get a partner.

Yeah id' say there are *maybe* 5 active people between level 80-90 not including me...and that's a big maybe.

I feel your pain. I HATE begging or even buying a spellup. I should be able to at least fight level for level on a critter without a spellup.

Seriously, who pays for a spellup? More seriously, who actually charges for a spellup? The Landing is a rip-off through and through.

In his case these things were over 10 levels above him assuming he has his info right. The guild should never send you to hunt things that far above your head I don't think. Especially not in the lower reachs where a few levels makes a TON of difference.
