To whomever beat me to the vultite dagger in Solhaven in preparation for last night/tonight:

Good show.

Now I have to use mithglin and vaalorn. :(

what are you talking about?

Siolan showed up last night to work for people in Solhaven. She's returning tonight to finish up those that she didn't get to, and I wanted to grab one of her vultite daggers from a playershop, but someone beat me to it.

Any of the following, which were sold on the WD and at EG '05:

a forked crimson drakar dagger
a bone-hilted pearlescent ora dagger
a gold-veined dusky glaes dagger
an amber-inlaid polished faenor dagger
an azure-edged silver rhimar dagger
a jade-pommeled gilded mithril dagger
a lapis-hilted mithglin dagger
a rose-etched black vultite dagger
a moonstone-set vaalorn bodice dagger
a razor-edged ebony zorchar dagger
a flame-bladed black drakar dagger
a silver-traced mithglin bodice dagger
a rose-pommeled black vaalorn dagger
a glass-hilted azurite rhimar dagger
a curve-hilted iridescent ora dagger

I'm particularly interested in the bolded ones, if anyone has any for sale. :D

You should have SAID they were GAY looking daggers. I don't own any of those I don't think, but I'll double check.

a moonstone-set vaalorn bodice dagger

How many do you have of each? I just acquired two of the moonstone-set vaalorn bodice daggers so I'm particularly interested in the faenor ones.

I have two faenor that I don't really use anymore and 1 extra rose-etched vultite

Those are pretty pansy looking daggers.

Hips
03-09-2008, 04:01 PM
They might look pansy-ish, but the scripts are pretty awesome.

Touch: You thumb the edge of your dagger, testing its sharpness, before casting an appraising glance at your surroundings.

Turn: You deftly turn the dagger in your palm, reversing it in one smooth move to hold the weapon carefully by its tip.

Pull: Flexing your fingers around your dagger's hilt, you extend it in front of you in a defensive position.

Push: Holding your dagger's hilt easily within your grip, you ready the blade in an offensive posture.

Rub: You gingerly run your palm over the flat of your dagger's blade.

Wave: Raising your dagger overhead, you let your hand hover momentarily in that position before you bring it downward in a vicious stabbing motion.

Flip: With a quick flick of your wrist, you lightly toss your dagger into the air and turn your hand to catch it, momentarily balancing the small blade against the back of your knuckles. To complete the trick, you snag the blade's tip with your thumb and deftly flip the dagger to catch it again by its hilt.

Prod: You jab experimently at the air with your dagger, testing its balance.

Just FYI, Siolan's wagon is in Solhaven. North Market Southeast.

Those are nice scripts. I'm not usually into zests, but those would be good for my rogue since they would tie in nicely with the gambit dagger tricks. Which of those are 4x and what services would Siolan be offering for them?

Hips

I dunno which ones are in her wagon, but the vultite ones are 4x. She'll alter them and fully unlock the scripts, if you manage to catch her.

...Because I'm stocking up on neon orange chrysanthemum daggers if so.

She's working in Solhaven now, for those who are interested in weapon/sheath alters and/or dagger balancing (scripting).

What's the difference between the locked/unlocked versions?

Hips
03-09-2008, 09:55 PM
Unlocked has four (?) more scripts... pull/push/wave/prod.

Possibly more, I only played with it for a bit. Didn't use a verb script or anything on it.

Dammit, I walked past her last night south of the market and thought to myself .. that name is familiar ... then promptly logged off for the night ::mutter::

Not all of them are. Based off what I know of a few of them, I think they're the natural enchant of the metals.

a bone-hilted pearlescent ora dagger +10
a moonstone-set vaalorn bodice dagger +18
a forked crimson drakar dagger +5

I know those ones for sure, too lazy to test my faenor ones.

And I think she's coming back sometime during the week, so you could always try to catch her then.

Are yours the glass-hilted azurite rhimar daggers from the WD, or the azure-edged silver rhimar daggers from EG '05?

I would actually consider using most of them, aside from the bodice daggers and the one with the rose.

Anyone have any these that are plain 4x (that includes the vaalorn ones that are +18)? I may have to get myself one and maybe even have it enchanted up, particularly if its:

a gold-veined dusky glaes dagger
an amber-inlaid polished faenor dagger
an azure-edged silver rhimar dagger
a lapis-hilted mithglin dagger
a razor-edged ebony zorchar dagger

If you can't find a 4x one, I have one of the lapis-hilted mithglin ones that you can have.

Or... you could just go to Solhaven and look in her wagon.

On the black oak table you see a forked crimson drakar dagger, a bone-hilted pearlescent ora dagger, a gold-veined dusky glaes dagger, an amber-inlaid polished faenor dagger and an azure-edged silver rhimar dagger.

On the wrought iron rack you see a jade-pommeled gilded mithril dagger, a lapis-hilted mithglin dagger, a rose-etched black vultite dagger, a moonstone-set vaalorn bodice dagger and a razor-edged ebony zorchar dagger.

Has Siolan only ever done daggers? Or did she do krises too? I have a nice pair of unlocked ones lockered away and I can't remember which merchant I got them from, and for some reason I thought it was her as well. I can't even remember the festival they were from. These are the scripts though:

With one kris:

>wave my kris
You swing your dark vultite kris wildly about.

>tap my kris
You rap your dark vultite kris sharply.

>push my kris
You thrust your dark vultite kris forward.

With two:

>wave my kris
With a mad look in your eyes, you swing your dark vultite kris and dark vultite kris wildly about, creating an unpredictable whirlwind of metal.

>tap my kris
A loud clang resonates as you rap your dark vultite kris sharply against your dark vultite kris.

>push my kris
You thrust your dark vultite kris forward threateningly while holding your dark vultite kris close to your body.

Hmmm, what merchants were all about brawlers in the past few years? These scripts only work for those with brawling training I think.

A kris is a modified short sword based weapon.

That's really odd.

I don't think I've ever seen a weapon require a different weapon skill to use the scripts. (And with brawlers having some weird ass names, I wasn't sure if you thought it was a brawling weapon.) My fault.

Nifty, but odd.

Oh oh wait, maybe it's TWC? This character has the same amount of training in TWC as in brawling, and when she was helping me test it she said it was brawling that made it set off. She could've been mistaken. Anyone have ONLY brawling or TWC training and want to help me test this? I know it's definitely not edged training, because my rogue is trained in edged and this is what happens when she messes with them:

>turn my kris
You fumble about attempting to turn your dark vultite kris.

Also, there's one more script I missed:

With one: >turn my kris
You sweep your dark vultite kris through the air, tracing a half-circle.

With two: >turn my kris
You sweep your dark vultite kris and dark vultite kris up in a pair of mirrored arcs, tracing a circle through the air.

Those look like weapons from A Thousand Cuts at the 2005 EG. They were specially scripted for people with TWC training. One of the weapons sold was a thick-bladed dark vultite kris with a garnet-studded crossguard, if that looks familiar.

Yeah, Vivaldi already helped me settle that in PMs, with info from your site. Apparently there are nine scripts total, so I was missing more than one, haha. I'll probably put these up for sale some time soon.
