View Full Version : Thrakianna (Landing TSC)
>[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end of the space, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Ananthor disk, a tincture of bolmara, an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.
Also here: Salencia, Ananthor who is sitting, Journeywoman Cureia, Tsernorquan who is sitting, Frupple, Lady Ishthier who is sitting, Apprentice Thrakianna who is kneeling, Lord Sylverfyre who is sitting
Obvious paths: northeast, east, southeast, southwest, west, northwest

Ishthier seems to lose some dexterity.
You work your way into some dark brown leather armor.
Roundtime: 13 sec.

(Thrakianna turns her head to the side and shouts "Nurse! Get me another patient! Stat!" before assuming her usual quiessance)
Your face goes blank.

Well, as long as we are being anal...if you are going to use a seldom used word it might be a good idea to look up the correct spelling first:
quiessance
quiescence

Careful, Nien may take umbrage to your trying to take her place as Spellchick™. Though you do have a different style than the original. Maybe you two could form a cross-Atlantic world Spellchick™ service?

There's nothing anal about the fact that it's retarded to expect someone to measure out 4 mg of a liquid. Honestly, who the fuck has a scale that accurate sitting around?
Actually, I seem to recall seeing a syringe, scalpel, and other medical equipment at one of the merchants.
A syringe would do the trick depending on what Elanthia uses as a standard of liquid measurement. Though somehow I doubt they're on the metric system.

Again, 4 milligrams. Syringes don't measure mass. 4 mL is incredibly easy to measure.

So you guys do realize the morphine quote was a fake log made by me during my break right after we gave a patient in the ER that same morphine dosage right? :P

lol, I didn't even pay attention to the fact that it was a separate post, let alone by a different person.
Still, wtf. 4 mg?
Aphyd
03-09-2008, 10:44 PM
that's the common dosage :)
It's just you have to know the conversion ratio of the medication. Most are going to to be 1mg per ml...so they're effectively the same thing.

I was mocking the nitpicking of the previous few posts more than the spelling of the original post. But I can see where you wanted to use your lame new word. Glad to oblige.

I will second and even third that. Medical Terminology made me open up my eyes to how retarded half the things we call other stuff in the medical world are. Like phlebotomy, meaning the drawing of blood. Phleb/o is vein, o/tomy is incision into. It's technically supposed to be phlebocentesis, -centesis meaning a puncture in order to aspirate or withdraw fluid. Confusion much?

Be in all fairness, she is trying to enhance our great roleplaying environment...
Thank goodness for the paper-thin roleplaying movement, eh?

I'm sure non-research physicians share the same qualms about amniocentesis baring the same suffix as phlebo-centesis as active researchers do.
