How do you change a pet from the one you currently have? I tried dismissing one this ranger has, but it doesn't do anything.

yep. it doesn't actually die though. Once it reaches a pain threshold is goes limping off to recover. usually takes 4-8 hours for it to recover from its wounds. Then you'll have to cast 630 to call it back

If you piss it off enough, it might take longer for it to come back.

does a different set show up at night or have a different description in another town? For instance i found a round eared dusky panther in rr. does pinefar have different ones?

pretty sure every area has different ones.

In RR they say panther. If you wander the whole island and sense you will find different panthers. Found my Jet Black Panther in the Jungle on RR.

You realize the soul-wrenching experience from your last encounter with a companion has not yet faded. Mayhaps you should contemplate on this for awhile longer. How long does that last? an hour?
