I'm prolly going to pass on Lost Odyssey to get this for the next game to take my time since I've beaten Gears, AC and Bioshock. Seems like something I can play with my eldest, too.

It does look amazing. That game Future Wars? is it, about fighting over oil also looks really good.

The gameplay looked kinda choppy to me, which is a turn-off. Gears 2 comes out in November. That'll be the b-day present, no doubt.

I know little about this game. Do you have to have a second player to make the game worth while? Because I don't really like anyone enough to have them come over and play my PS3. And the wife isn't into it.

This paragraph from the Gamespy review is just one of the reasons I won't be buying this game:
"Army of Two utilizes an interesting aggro system, borrowing the popular nomenclature from online role-playing games. Aggro is a measure of the amount of attention you draw from enemies, and in a cooperative setting, managing this threat level is key to your success. If Rios draws heavy fire and gets the aggro, then Salem becomes virtually invisible, free to roam the battlefield picking off enemies from behind. Swapping aggro back and forth between the two adds a significant level of strategy to the gunplay, and your ability to customize guns by "pimping them out" with gold plate, platinum and diamonds, allows you to achieve greater levels of aggro. That actually sounds pretty cool. Except for platinum and diamonds on a fucking gun. But the aggro system sounds interesting.

the game wasn't bad another short FPS with nothing that jumps out at you to keep you coming back to the game but I haven't tried the online game play yet

This is the issue with most next gen games. It's just horrible that the standard game play is less than 20 hours. It is starting to be very depressing.
