FORUMS POLICY UPDATE http://www.play.net/images/transparent.gifhttp://www.play.net/images/transparent.gif (http://forum.gsplayers.com/) In recognition of the 5% of the poster population which constitutes 95% of the Moderator staff's attention, the Moderators have updated the method by which posters are evaluated for Cautions, TAC Warnings, and possible removal from the Forums. This updated method is intended to remove problem posters in a more expedient manner than before, and should be hardly noticeable by 95% of the posters on the Forums. The basic guidelines are as follows:

2 Cautions for a specific behavior (Inflammatory/Flaming, for instance), then 1 TAC Warning (totalling 3 pulls for one behavior).

1 additional Caution for a specific behavior, then an additional TAC Warning (5 pulls consisting of 3 Cautions, 2 TAC Warnings).

TAC Warnings for each additional violation of a specific nature, which can lead to Lockout.

Each post removed as a Caution will include a current tally of the poster's pulls for that specific behavior (total of TAC Warnings and Cautions). Moderators will alert the Moderator Manager of those posters which qualify for review of their posting privileges.

It is our intention that this update be virtually invisible to the majority of our poster population which, overall, tends to police itself. However, it's a necessary evil to ensure that the GSIV Forums remain a place where posters can feel free to contribute their constructive ideas and thoughts without worrying about being harassed or intimidated.

Please feel free to contribute to discussion about this update in the Forums Discussions topic, located in the Front Ends, Forums, and Computer Help category.

I used to enjoy reading and posting on the officials. But as I got older it just seemed so sappy and kind of goody goody so I stopped.

Their terrible forum platform aside, the moderation is retarded. I haven't posted there in years.

Emeradan is the worst thing to happen to the forums ever. He's even worse than that other asshole that would pull posts like crazy for the gayest reasons. I can't seem to remember his name though. Either way Emeradan still sucks ape cock.

Em is cool- he keeps the forums productive. And I say that even after two warnings from him <grin> My posting privliges will be revoked within the year I'm sure.

Productive? He seems to enjoy shutting down any incisive discussion.

E is a power slut, this new policy will only aggravate an already idiotic situation w/ him being a GM.

Khaladon was a prick, yes, but a productive one. And even though you hated him you would still laugh and couldn't help but to go along with some of the things he would do.

Emeradan is a prick, yes, but has no real redeeming quality aside the lack of a life that allows him to troll the officials while guzzling jack.

Alright, I just have one question regarding this:

Was this in response to some form of distinguishable ass-haberdashery, or is this sort of more cumulative?

I r too afraid 2 post on officialz. When I do, I do my damned best to don my e-tuxedo. And albinism.

QFT

You have to be one of the GMs I know that dislike Dely. I was friends with him years ago in Mentors and that began to change rapidly in Host training as he began to think he was acquiring more and more e-power. I should have stayed on staff just because the forums would have been handed over to me by Mignon. Em's such a putz and has only served to make the official forums even more ridiculous.

He mentioned to me some time ago in a post he pulled that a more concrete point system was on its way. This has been in the works for a while.

Speaking solely in terms of merchanting proceeds...

9 months posting on Officials: 4m.

2 months posting on PC: 83m

What does that say? I dunno. Says something tho, pretty sure.

More opportunity to piss of the paying customers is what it seems like.

How are Officials: Internet Sandbox

and

Officials: Censorship Happy

even a reason to pull a post? That's not moderating, that's censorship.
