Help with PS2 Network Adapter

I'm trying to get this piece of shit to work with my Road Runner cable but it's being an absolute pain in the ass. Everyone says to just use the automatic settings but that shit doesn't work for me. I need an answer soon, because this thing is going to go sailing sooner or later.
