Dark Elf, of either culture, since that is what most of my girls are. Although my first character, a Sylvan is a sweetie, I havent really played her in some time. My Halfling is a hoot! But yeah, the Dark Elves. And not for mechanics obviously. Most of mine are/were Clerics, going back before the link and all. NO one interested in mechanics would be that dumb.

I have to be 'on' with Pipsy and in the mood. While my Dark ones often stand in a corner, plotting, scheming, glowering, but quiet, Pipsy is always very interested in everything and everyone around her. I have to pay full attention to her, and have to be in the right mood for her innocent naivete and her equally innocent big mouth. She IS the only character I had in Plat I missed enough to re-create in Prime however.

Czeska's human and has a feature alter making her look "elfish". She's always wanted to be a pure elf, so that surgery was like a dream come true.
It's also why she hates EN. They still discriminate. Bastards.

My last couple characters have been Selanthian Humans. They're not the best mechanically, but it's easier for me to come up with something RP wise.

Dwarf is a very close second to me. More and more I find myself playing my dwarf bard because it's fun to RP him.

Dwarves can be a lot of fun RP wise. I'm just curious why people pick half-elves for mechanics? I would never play a half-elf, ever.

For mechanics, the best race is giant in my opinion.

Lot of encomberance, meaning close to 0 penalty to manoeuvers attack, lot of health, no penality for cleric and empath's CS, and a bonus for bards...

Giant owns.

There seem to be very few regular elf fans out there. Its almost all I play with the exception of my dhe'nar. I can't really get into any of the other races like I can an elf or even dhe'nar. I am happy that they released the elven crests so it can play into Elrodins RP a bit more now.

Humans are best because while they don't give you anything great, they don't take anything away. Mechanics or RP-wise.
