ranger mechanics - coupla quick questions

(1) Can rangers incant spikethorn, or will it target the caster by doing so?

(2) If a ranger uses an Invisibility imbed (ie glass amulet) with the Sneaking spell active, will perceptive characters still hear soft footsteps?

Spikethorn works like every other offensive spell. It won't default to caster.

It doesn't. I pointed out a few times 4 or 5 years ago how ridiculous it is that the spell Sneaking does the perception check regardless of invisibility, thereby making you less sneaky---but it's Simutronics.

My mistake. I had my ranger in to check the spike but didn't have enough MIU to activate a glass amulet.
