create a GSE file that points to your other mud game's port/domain and open the wizard up with that GSE file as the parameter.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but what's a GSE file and/or where can I go to find out? Google returned a bunch of unrelated crap

Log in using the SGE (simutronics game entry) and it creates a file:
C:\Gse.~xt
The contents of which look like so (ANSI Text file):
UPPORT=5535
GAME=WIZ
GAMECODE=GS
FULLGAMENAME=Wizard Front End
GAMEFILE=WIZARD.EXE
GAMEHOST=gs3.simutronics.net
GAMEPORT=4900
KEY=YOURKEYHERE
A lot of that stuff you can just leave alone (because your other mud will just end up ignoring it), but change the GamePort, and GameHost to the Mud you want to play. Just don't expect any of the GSL tags to work (Round time, mana, health)... but yeah it should open your game (why exactly do you want to do this?)

The wizard is in no way better than ZMud... that's just ignorance of the tools.
The biggest problem you're going to have is that despite getting it to "run" in the wizard, the wizard is going to be little more than a telnet prompt. If the MUD your playing doesn't send a GSL tag, the wizard won't fill in the Mana or health bars, it won't show directions, it won't show injuries or RT. All you'll have is a telnet prompt and a weak script engine.

zMUD is so much better than the wizard that it isn't even a debate.
