Anyone happen to know either where I can find a copy of old Sierra point and click games (Police Quest 3, King's Quest 6, Robin Hood: Conquests of the Longbow, Leisure Suit Larry, etc.), cause since Demonoid went down I don't know where to get anything these days without a hefty chance of getting a virus instead.

And if so, will these games even run on Windows XP?

Not sure about XP, but I can promise you Leisure Suit Larry doesn't work on Vista.

If your looking for OLD games, you might try Abandonia.com or do a search for Abandonware....

fuck, you got it before I could. Abandonia.com is what you're looking for.

However, someone made a pointandclick remake of KQ1 2 and 3. Jayisgames.com featured it within the past month or two.

So I decided to start playing through this just now and see how much of it I can remember.

Space Quest collection is on Steam and works. The King's Quest series is also on Steam but doesn't work, while the version on (I think) GOG does.

I really hope Quest For Glory gets brought back.

There is a new Kings Quest coming out next year.

If I'm not able to put myself in an unwinnable situation because I ate a pie when I was hungry instead of saving it to throw at a yeti's face 2 hours later, I'm going to be disappointed.

I really hope Quest For Glory gets brought back. It's pretty easy to emulate Windows 3.1 on present day Windows operating systems.

Sometimes you need a GUI. I have never played a video game so I don't know what exactly your games require, I was just being helpful.

In bed.

Hey, don't click on that link I repped you with. Just realized that might actually be something, and not something good.

edit: Just checked. Can't believe no one has shartbox.com

Better register it before someone reads your post and grabs it.

The issues with the Steam version of KQ go beyond emulators and dosbox.

Quest for Glory is also on GOG (http://www.gog.com/game/quest_for_glory) ($9.99 for the series), though I haven't tried playing it.

GoG makes sure their stuff runs. I dig them for certain stuff.

I forgot they had QFG. I never did play the 5th one.
