Does anyone know of a good place for Valentine's Day dinner reservations? Maybe someone who's already made reservations somewhere nice? I'm tired of all the same ole shitty steakhouses and Benihana, and J made a reservation for the two of us at the Melting Pot which i'm making him cancel. I'm SO not letting him spend $200 on dinner just for the two of us. So does anyone know of a tasty fixed menu that isn't a gajillion dollars per person?
I guess it'd have to be a chain unless you live in the Atlanta area. All serious suggestions welcome :D

Why not stay in? Much more romatic to cook for each other :)

My kitchen is the size of a matchbox.
Edit: Plus, he wanted to take me out since we aren't doing presents this year.
Sorry, not in that area.
I’d suggest what Cornbread said... otherwise, IHOP.

I post at www.chowhound.com and have found it quite helpful in finding places around LA.
It's definately a great place to start.

Yeah those are a bit pricey for us, but thank you for this website. I'm constantly getting frustrated over dinner time because i'm sick of all the chain food around here (think Outback's and Chili's). I'm wary of non-chains too because IMHO the food down south sucks unless you're going for BBQ. You can't get a decent slice or Chinese food anywhere.

Um no it's not. J made the reservations tonight, heh.
I was all set to say the Melting Pot and then you said you made him cancel. Boo. :(

I love the Melting Pot, but when it costs $100 for the two of us and I can pick what I want. Thursday would cost about $200 at least for the two of us and the five course meal comes with a bunch of stuff neither of us will eat. It'd be such a waste. :(

on a serious note this town sucks for restaraunts... um.. ya... not a real one for at least 50 miles.

Bonefish? J Alexanders? PF Changs? Cheesecake Factory? Macaroni Grill? Those are all fairly low-end but awesome.

Cheesecake Factory is what I'd recommend. Call ahead to see what the lines are like though because they might not take reservations and it's really not worth being in line for 2 hours.

If it's such an effort I'd make a deal with the sperm donor to forever going forward celebrate Vageegee day on the 13th. You both get what you want (good food, good sex) and everyone is happy.

That happens on V-Day (and most other days) anyway. He doesn't need a special day 'o poon.
And yeah rht, some decent ideas. We're not fond of Macaroni Grill but P.F. Chang's is awesome and Cheesecake Factory is okay too. Hopefully if we choose CF, they will take reservations, because that place is normally packed on regular days :/
What is Bonefish? Seafood? If so, that's out. I hate seafood.
Or maybe I can convince him to drive us up to Kennesaw for Rafferty's filets. MMMMMmMmMMmmm.
