Yeah, I can't see the vid from work either, but supposedly he was hauled in for 'evading arrest' or something like that. How well could a quadraplegic in a wheelchair evade? Maybe he mouthed off and pissed her off, but man oh man, way to fuck up your own career, look like the Wicked Witch, and yeah, make this guy $$$$....

I wondered the same thing, but when dealing with someone who is possibly paralyzed, dumping them out of the chair is over the top. I might have taped his mouth shut.... :D

I'm all for giving everyone a fair shake ... but this is a result of lowering standards so far that ultimately the only thing we have accomplished is a huge disservice to society.

I honestly doubt this woman or many of her colleagues would have been able to pass the exams for the job 15-20 years ago .... let alone the physical requirements.

Fast forward to now and the standards for such jobs have all but deteriorated into nothingness. Chances are, we would end up giving the guy in the wheel chair a badge and a beat even if he suffered brain damage from being dumped to the ground.

There are plenty of civil service type jobs out there that will offer similar economic and educational opportunities ... those that come with badges and/or involve child welfare should not be among them. We can't afford lower standards for those jobs.

He's a paraplegic .... he has use of his arms. The throttle and brakes on his vehicle are a hand operation.

You're spot on. They're recruiting like no other for those positions in Tampa.

I personally am disqualified from that position for having smoked in the last six months. College degree and all they don't give a fuck. Instead they hire fucks like that.

If I was the judge and jury on this one I'd order her punishment to be picking up garbage on I-4 wearing a cheap halloween nurse's outfit pushing a wheelchair with a garbage can in the seat for 300 hours.

Hmm.

That doesn't make sense though, because the "quad" means four, meaning all four limbs are paralyzed and/or loss of functionality. Unless he has problems with his arms that we aren't aware of since he's able to use them enough to drive.

Quad / Para is where the vertabrae was broken. He's a Quad so it was higher up, which means he has little to know feeling neck/chest down. Para is basically waist down no feeling. Quads can still move there arms with tons of therapy and drive a van (where all controls are on the wheel) no problem.

You're all missing the point! This asshole deserved what he got, as punishment for hoarding all of the badass hand-control cars! I think he learned his lesson, so let him take the millions he's about to make and move on with it.

PS: If someone can figure out a way to viably control a vehicle with total function, using a ps3 remote, go out of your way to tell me. I have some often-drunk college buddies drinking through their engineering degrees, and this may be worth looking into, legality aside.

To be honest, while I do find racially motivated stereotypes, or any in general to be pretty much lame, I'll admit that a majority of the larger African American women that I've met are generally louder, a lot more forward, and sadly enough, less educated. Not saying that all heavy-set minority women are morons or anything, and I'm not saying every bigger white chica is immune from being a dipshit, but that's just my experience on the subject. While he (Methais) is a bit too blunt about it, I'm sad to say the female in the video is one of the women who prove the "angry fat black lady" stereotype through and through.

I'd hardly doubt that, either. Blood pressure has a lot to do with that, along with the stress a large white male puts themself through on a day-to-day basis. (I used to be one myself!) So yeah, fat white guys outnumber fat black ladies like 3:1 I'd guess, but you also have to consider the idea that a lot of fat white guys don't chill out with age, whereas larger black women tend to more often than not.

That said, am I the only one who wonders what the new generation's black women will think of their names when they turn seventy? A seventy year old black woman named Skittle? Taryuanieka? Pau Gasol? Creepy.

(...and yes, it was reported on FSN that a woman had named her three week old daughter "Pau Gasol" after the Lakers traded for him, as she had been a diehard fan for "years")
