Well didn't know where to post this so I'm gonna go ahead and post it here.

I think one or more GMs but at least one is making items to sell for RL cash, two nights ago I bought a 6x masterfully crit weighted longsword from "Reltorin" on the amunet for RL cash over paypal. After playing around with it for a while I met up with a friend and he had the exact same sword with minor alterations to the description. He said he got it from "Reltorin". Well that was kinda wierd because these were wierd items but we didn't think much on it.

The next day my friend comes back to me saying a GM spoke to him about his weapon. He said it was illegally made. I still have my weapon and am wondering if I should assist to get it looked at. But I think I'll lose my money.

Nah. There was just a rash of item duplication for a while.

The description would be the same then.

There's also idiots with items that are ALMOST the exact same that always insist on having every sword look alike and such.

Well, there was a thread about a GM selling an item for coins or RL cash and accidently said it in game on the merchant channel.

I think thats totally unprofessional and against the spirit of the game. the GMs are supposed to help uphold standards and follow their own rules. If they dont that just weakens their position in general.

It would go something like this: Might as well start adding RL prices to my aucitons in game, the GMs dont seem to give a fuck.

Honest Question: Are you fucking retarded?

Care to elaborate?

I'd like to hear how me questioning a GM selling in game gear for RL dollars as fucking retarded. Unless what i read was total bullshit, which is entirely possible, in which case ther person who made it up would be fucking retarded.

You saw what a GM said entirely out of context, the rest of the thread clearly explains the circumstances of the GM saying it, and it had nothing to do with the GM selling an item for RL $.

Er I mean...

You fucking noob!

While its good that people have the availability to voice concerns such as this, in a forum that is not communized like the officials, a known to be a popular reading spot for GM/staff of SIMU, its imperative to state what is known and then jump into conjecture if thats your aim (to question).

I dont think its right to post with the intention of using non-facts or innuendo to reach a conclusion unless that conclusion can be supported by hard evidence. Which in that case - a letter should be sent to Feedback so it can be reviewed.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with posing questions here and instigating senior SIMU staff to look into things that otherwise would not be mentioned or seen in the *other forums.

If i was a TWC wielder, having two blades look alike would be something i'd strive for. Especially if they were as high caliber as those...and two longswords wouldn't make for a bad pair.

Umm actually until oh say a year ago there were half or less the number of masterfully weighted weapons other then claids, odd that theres a sudden glut of weighted/padded gear that has zero history dont you think?

I know more then I'll say here, as its not my problem or issue. Cash sales have long been teh departing GMs bail out plan, why crackdown on something you in the future may use or need?

You got a point here. If I were a GM I would definetly dupe a few high enchant claids or high padded armors and slowly over time sell as much as possible while selling the silvers for cash... until basically I get caught and they can me. But hey when my paypal is 5 figures or more, who cares? And I can just open another bank account with a new credit card number if I really wanted to play.

This is why Khaladon and other's who are removed quickly from Simu have their player accounts blocked as well.
