I looked at the home page for Hero's Journey last night, and read a couple of the threads posted here about it. At first I thought it would be neat, but then I remembered how bored I got with LOTRO, as it seemed like everyone was just playing a game and not interacting with one another. Part of the appeal of GSIV for me is that after hunting, I have to rest to absorb XP, and when I rest it creates opportunity to interact with other players, and vice-versa.
I guess I sort of envisioned a command line interface (like GS4), but with a graphical representation of what I entered in the command line. I don't know if I can explain it exactly, but it's kind of like KILL ROLTON is entered on a command line like it is in GSIV, but instead of describing the result in a text format, it would actually show the action in a window above the command line with different variations of the same KILL theme. I sort of envisioned movement in the HJ in the same way, that is if I want to walk north, the room changes in the graphical portion of the screen...Not a real-time movement. I don't know...Whatever.
What are your thoughts on this game?
