So I guess I should thank my bitch of an ex-wife for not admitting she slept with her boss before she moved out, because, since we're only "separated" we're still considered a "household" and I get a $600 check (yes, I am going to mail her the other $600) even though I just got promoted and am making 6 figures.
I think I'll put it into my "Vegascon stash" that I plan on blowing at the casino in March. I considered briefly buying a PS3, but I just can't justify it without FFXIII coming out yet.
What are y'all planning on spending it all on?

You suck at hating your ex-wife. There is NO WAY IN FUCKING HELL she would get shit from me. Go fuck another one of your bosses for your next meal ticket.

Well, I wouldn't have got any money at all if it wasn't for her being an uberbitch, I'd rather not be sued at this point, since I've avoided that so far.
I did get $6000 in tax refunds by filing jointly though...she won't be touching that.

You know, it's a great time in history when it's actually cheaper (free) and faster (bittorrent) to get porn.
Personally I'm putting it in a savings account just those bastards don't get it back trying to "stimulate the economy". On second thought, maybe I should just trade it for a currency that isn't in as bad shape as the dollar.

Does anyone know what the cutoff is income wise for this? I only made about 3k taxable income the last two years since i spent most of it over seas.

Aww too bad... the cutoff is for people who make $1400 or less a year.
Seriously? You're asking that question with 3k taxable income over two years?
Oh... the lower cutoff... nevermind I'm an idiot... :(

I haven't found anything specific about the final version of the bill other than:
"The legislation will provide one-time rebates of up to $600 for individuals or $1,200 for couples, plus $300 for each child. Low-income people, including retirees on Social Security and disabled veterans who pay no income taxes, would receive checks of $300."

I'm pretty sure the low income thing is at least $3,000 in the year. I don't remember where I saw it but I was :( because I made like $2,700.
----
$300 Checks
The measure would send $300 tax-rebate checks to those whose Social Security benefits, veterans' disability payments and earned income totaled at least $3,000 last year. Those who earned enough to pay federal income taxes would receive more, with individuals eligible for as much as $600. Couples could receive $1,200 plus $300 for each child.

Don't you still live with your parents? I doubt that if you could have gotten the credit if you're claimed as a dependent by someone else.
