After working in Rite Aid during the Christmas season..one tends to hate christmas music..
Nothing like hearing non-stop christmas music for 8 hours every day, from the day after Holloween, till Feb 1st. Ughh....

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Chipmunk's Christmas song...
Not a big Christmas music fan, but if I had to pick one, it'd be Carol of the Bells.
This year's big peeve for me is Christmas movies. I just got a job in a video store a few weeks ago, and on a typical day there, I see/hear the same movie 2-4 times over.

I loathe Christmas music.
That being said, "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby is a must.

The Carol of the Bells is my favorite also. And I swear, I hear Christmas music out the ass at work.. they have a single CD on permenant loop during the holidays, and if I catch myself humming Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer one more time, I will jab pencils in my ears.
But yes... Carol of the Bells. Both the choir version and the instrumental. Of course, it was originally a Ukranian New Year's song and not Christmas, but still.. holiday music.

If you like Carol of the bells try and find the version done by the Trans Siberian Orchestra, not exactly the traditional version but pretty cool non the less.

I hate Christmas music. My father starts playing it at Thanksgiving. I'm glad I'm out of the house for it, or I might strangle him.
That being said... Carol of the Bells, and most anything by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Favorite things, and that one that starts we three kinds of orient are..
and silver bells

I hate all traditional Christmas music.. thanks to work. The "updated" songs are okay.. like the dancie versions, or original songs. One I'll always love is "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses. Oh, and that TLC Christmas song that I can't think of the name of at the moment.

I like the instrumental christmas things be the Transiberian (sp) Orcestra. Others are "Noel" and "Silent Night." I much rather listen to the Transiberian Orcesta and their christmas music then any song though.

I loathe traditional Christmas songs. I worked at a grocery store during high school and between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the elevator versions of those songs wouldn't stop!
Pick up Merry Axemas vol. 2. It has some kickass stuff on there by Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Ted Nugent, and Stu Hamm, among others. Good stuff.
Also, check out the Transiberian Orchestra. Good stuff there too.

I guess I'm in the minority here, I love Christmas Music...hee.
A few songs on my CD have already been named, Jingle Bell Rock, Silent Night by Elvis Presley, White Christmas by Bing Crosby, Let It Snow HAS to be sung by Frank Sinatra.
I can't believe no one said Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy! That's my all time favorite Christmas song! Just be careful to get one that's fairly loud if you're burning it..usually they're very low. Chesnuts Roasting By Open Fire is nice..the Nat King Cole version...Sleigh Ride by Johnny Mathis is funny sounding but good..so is the instrumental version. I'll have to check my CD, I have 19 songs on it.

I love Christmas music.
Right now I'm feeling very Blue Christmas-The King Himself, Elvis, and um Do you hear what I hear, Perry Como. And as extremely weak as this is...All I want for Christmas is you, Mariah Carey. Yeah yeah, bring on the snowball pelting.

I had to make a worksheet for my students to fill in the blanks as they listened to that song. Imagine listening to it nonstop for five days a week in every class that you teach?
Last year, it was "Last Christmas" by Wham. I start twitching when I hear it now...:o

God, I can't stand that damn song anymore! It plays every 20 minutes at work....And Jeff Foxworthy's version of "The Redneck's 12 Days of X-mas". I swear if there weren't cameras, I'd throw something at that damn stereo.
Love you Jolena!
