Dunno if anyone keeps up...

But the day is here. And it is a terrible, terrible day for Auburn. Not only did we lose a 5 star and like 5 4 stars, but Alabama recruited like nobody's business.

They picked up 5 star and top 5 national prospect Julio Jones. The Darius brothers. Jerrell Harris. Etc.

Alabama has one of the best recruiting classes I have ever seen and tops Rivals and ESPN's lists. Rammer Jammer, Yellow Hammer, go to Hell, Alabama.

Nick Saban has always been a master recruiter. But in terms of best classes ever, I know they didn't even finish on top of the list for the year according to rivals, but last years USC class was the greatest class in history. 6 5 star players in a single class. The year before was almost as strong. Alabama's class is bolstered by sheer numbers. 31 players in a single class. Florida and Oklahoma both have stronger classes IMHO than Alabama this year.

And in the end, just remember. Recruiting class rank doesn't mean jack once the season starts.

I wouldn't say that entirely.

Um yea... sheer number meaning EIGHTEEN 4-star players (a few of which are even "borderline" 5 stars)... couple that with Julio Jones and 2 other solid 5 star players...

EDIT: I will agree that during the season, pre-season star ratings don't mean shit. It's how you develop a player and how they fit into your scheme. That's one thing Tuberville has been impressive with. Let's hope he can take some of these 2 stars and turn them into solid first-stringers.

EDIT2: I will also take a step back and say that living in Tuscaloosa as an Auburn fan may have affected my original reaction to the dramatic side. Here's to a great year of football, albeit 6 months away.

Why in the blue hell has Minnesota done so well in recruiting for the last few years, yet completely failed once the season begins? I mean good lord, they're easily the worst school ranked on that list, yet they pull in quality players like nobody's business. What's going on here?

Ohio state or Auburn are shittier than MN and they're on the list as well.

MN isn't bad at all. It's a up and comer doing all the right things in my opinion.

You suck at football btw get out of our thread.

Didn't they hire Brewster primarily for his recruiting ability?
