Simu breaking lore?

There is a lightening merchant going around today that is known as a "dragon killer"... Wasn't any realistic acknowledgement of dragons pretty much against lore? I was told dozens of times that the dragonhide items were old, and will not be made again, for the same reason.

A merchant who goes around calling himself a "dragon killer" is just trying to do it for the rep.

I'd say it's akin to a gun salesmen saying he's hard enough to kill a T-Rex or something.

Dragons exist (c.f. the shadowy dragon). The killing and skinning of said dragons does not, hence no dragonhide.

Drakes are a specific sort of dragon the same way humans are a specific sort of ape, vastly superior to their dragony brethren in pretty much every capacity.

Isnt there a dragon that flies over Icemule every so often? Just a random script but still. Theres also a NPC that walks around and says something along the lines of "dont fear the dragon" in Vaalor I think.

Someone blew smoke up your ass. Perhaps that one GM that told you that felt that way, but there are way too many references in GS to dragons for them to say NO.

At one time I had a cloak altered to show a silver dragon coiled around each cuff and matching trousers. Dragon alters are pretty cool.

I think my cloak and trousers are still floating around somewheres.

Let me look on the PC and see if I posted it for sale.

Dragon images aren't relevant to my point... it's the thought of a REAL dragon in game that I was told is against lore. I was led to believe that dragons aren't present in Elanthia, whereas Drakes were. Ahwell!

I think the point was more dragonhide alters being disallowed. No mentions of an item like that here or on playershops.

dragons were and are around. They're just rare enough (i.e. there's only onje that's been spotted that hasn't been made of metal) that you don't get stuff made out of dragon. However, you can get dragon shaped things.

If the GM is playing someone whose lying about it to gain sales then, yeah..that's fine..if he's seriously a dragon killer and has stuff that is real dragon..then that's against the lore
