But it's fun as fucking hell. So I take it back. Friend came over from tampa for the weekend and brought 1 and 2 with a pair of guitars and it's damned entertaining.

LOL.. I JUST got this today for the PS3 as we are hosting Game Night tonight. Once a month, we get together with our friends and play board games with dinner and drinks. Well tonight, it's GUITAR HERO!

I had to actually buy 2 sets as the additional guitar isn't out yet... which is bullshit.

Do yourself a favor and go buy Rock Band (just buy the game for $60 if you have a guitar already). So much better than GH. I hate the game personally, because it's the one game my girlfriend kicks my ass in. She's got 3 or 4 songs left on expert. I can't even beat hard. Fucker.

No, buy the whole setup with the drums, guitar, and mic for $170, even if you have a GH guitar already. Use that one to play bass and make a full band.

Four people rocking out all at once beats the hell out of watching one person play guitar.

Just make sure to buy a reinforcement for your bass pedal off ebay or something, cause the plastic piece of shit that comes with the game will break sooner or later. Mine broke after a few days. EA will replace it for free, but that doesn't make it any less gay.

Just a reminder. the 360 guitar hero guitar works in Rock Band. However Activision refuses to let Harmonix release a patch to make the ps3 guitar hero controller work in Rock Band

My GH.com hasn't uploaded properly since December. Last time I checked, I was 800th or so on career on expert.

Unfortunately, I still can't beat Raining Blood or Through Fire and Flames.

I haven't tried Through the Fire and Flames enough to know that I can't pass it (the beginning sure does suck, lol!), but I beat Raining Blood on my third try without SP. I can't 5-star more than a couple songs between GH2 and GH3, but I got everything in '80s.

If you mean the stupid pingy noise it makes when you mess up, you can turn that off.

If you mean the noise you yourself make by whaming on the strummer too hard...be more gentle. I don't make noise when I play. I don't know how the boys do it. Just....press it, don't SMACK it. Poor thing.

Playing fast and soft doesn't really work in most cases.

It's not like you're really paying attention to the strummer noise when you're playing anyway. If you're not cranking up the sound for the songs, you're not playing it right. :D
