If you move into a room with this fucking spell, you literally can't do anything or you get webbed. You can't even leave the room.
And being a square if you get webbed infront of a pure you're basicly totallyfucked.
I know this log doesn't show time but I'd love to share the experience.
I basicly watched a quarter episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm while waiting for it to break up.

The door suddenly tips on end and flattens like a two-dimensional rendering. It begins spinning faster and faster, as though it were a madly rotating pinwheel. Abruptly, it collapses into a thin, fine line that folds in on itself in segments until it is scarcely more than a black pinhole. The dot of darkness disappears with a near-silent *POP*.

Can't warriors use berserk to break free?

I realize yours is a rogue (or I think it is).

If you have the MIU, could you use a gold wand while webbed to burn it? (Which I *think* also would burn you.) If you got stunned from the burn though, then couldn't you use stunman move to leave the room?

I know when I had my mage up there, I detested the damn webs, which is why I don't even bother with the rift, especially when you spend the majority of your time webbed. The way I recall the the official release docs was if you are passing through the room, you are not supposed to get webbed, but I know that was not the case when I was up there. Maybe that was only in regards to other PC webs?

Just curious.

You can't get a wand out or wave it while webbed.

Passing through rooms will web you. Your best bet is to carry a gold wand and if you step into a room with a web, don't try and leave get rid of the web first.

If you are webbed and become free, remember your wand...I died a few times because I'd become free and freak out and try and run and get caught again resulting in death.

In the barrier I would set a ring at the portal so I always had a safe way to get back fast.

Beserk works nice. Other than that, it is a bitch and didn't seem to get better till my rogue and warrior were up a few levels above the creatures casting the web.

I was an idiot and only mastered tackle and warcry in my warriors younger years so I never used beserk, just had to deal with it cause I was too lazy to go through the pain of trying to master it on barrier creatures. I've seen it work wonders though.

It definately webs you if you so much as move.
I haven't been to OTF since I sold my sorcerer so I'm really looking forward to getting there with my rogue becouse of this spell
Good times.

Hey Katt could I ask you to email me a full log of you hunting OTF with either your rogue (preferable) or your warrior.
Like I said above I've only been there as a pure, then went as a square and almost got completely smashed up.

Yeah rogues got hootied on this, and warriors arent far behind. You can say berserk, but berserk costs 40 stamina a pop. great 40 stamina and you broke out of the web....guess what? it still has 3-5 charges.

proceed to watching Curb your enthusiasm.

A few different ways for squares to overcome this. you can

PEER which is slow as hell and gets irksome.

You can toss a fire goo vial.

you can get a cleric to bless a fem gems with untrammel for you.

the untrammel is probably the best route to take.

All in all rogues have gotten the shaft with this and the shadowmastery. :( If your TD is high you tend to avoid them and they seem to not work worth a crap if you are older then the critters, so underhunting is your friend in web areas also.

It's not a guarantee that it will web you.

It has every time I've tried to pass. That's more than 10 out of 10 times so far.
Just a bit of an over powered spell imo.

I can't even imagine how annoying it is for squares. I think creatures get more use out of this spell than I ever will.

Getting hit is based off a hidden spirit CS warding role. Only way to avoid it really is to increase your TD (I know as a rogue in the rift that's most likely impossible).

Clerics and Empaths can make Untrammel dust with alchemy.

They have 5 doses per dust.

The cost is a spiderweb turquoise (or 1200 silvers) to make.

My level 0 no MIU gem mule could unravel my level 41 web, so I don't think MIU or level is a factor.

And no risk of burning yourself!

You gesture.
A thick cloud of wisps gathers around you and quickly spreads to cover much of the surrounding area. The cloud solidifies and resolves into a sticky web.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

>toss my dust at web
You take a handful of the fine opaline dust, and toss it at a gigantic sticky web!
The webbing covering the area begins to unravel at incredible speed! Soon, all that remains is a cloud of wisps that dissipate harmlessly into the air.
