My guess would be someone else using one of those gold ring thingees from hiding.

Yeah I'm not sure it's because of the gold ring because he never left.

You wouldn't happen to know if he's mage, do you? I'm not familiar with mage spells, but they have one temporaral rift (?) spell that makes them do weird things. Not sure if that's what it was.

Yeah it has a similar effect but Chayy is a warrior. I'm not sure it was Chayy who was the subject of the messaging, he just happened to be the last who did an action.

At the last EG they sold 'gold ring holders'. If someone used theirs from hiding it would produce that message. Which should probably be bugged, as it makes no sense.
