1. What exactly do the travel office fees cover?

2. Are the trips pretty fast, or do they move slow?

3. What is a good level to be at if one wants to try to travel between cities without the travel office's help?

4. Anyone know what the exchange rate is between each city's promissory notes?

Thanks.

As I recall, you can only use the travel office lvl 19 and below.

Depending on destination, they can be fairly slow. WL to TI, for example, took me over an hour.

The fee covers safe passage to the location.

Exchange rate varies.

Intercity travel really depends on level. WL to Solhaven can be done with moderate safety at very early levels. WL to any of the Elven Nations would not be so safe until mid 20ish, though I've had chars in their 30's die from vipers and other flukes.

So at level 20 you don't get to use the travel office. I guess that's a good place to stop relying on the travel office.

Does the fee cover any ferries or carts?

Fee covers all pay ferries and carts as encountered on trips across the spine.

If you want to break the travel system like I did awhile back hire a travel guide and then use the chronomages. I got the guide stuck in malwiths inn and it kept pulling me back to the room every so often so I couldnt leave malwiths either. GM's kept telling me that everything was ok and the guide would go away when i reached the destination. After about 2 hours of constant reports saying it wasnt changing they finally popped in and realized what had happened. good times.

I looked in the "Scripts" thread for a TV to Icemule and back script, but didn't find one. Does anyone here have a script for that?

How many silvers are usually required if I go it alone to pay for the ferries and carts?

Thanks for the help so far.

I find the SBC script to work very well.

http://www.sahracorp.com/

You can go from one town to like any other town and around towns etc. Usually though I just use it to get from town to town. I have another town hop one but I'm not sure where I got it.

That's good news.

I have SBC and didn't know it went between towns. I mean I read that it did, but I never took the time to figure out how to get it going.

Do I just use as I normally do? .sbc ITTC?

What happens if I fall down or are otherwise not able to continue? Does it pause or automatically make me stand up? How does that work? What about the parts where I have to pay for ferries and carts?

IF I remember right, it pauses at ropes and stuff and has you climb them so they aren't totally afk scripts. I don't think I have ever fallen while using it.

Yes just use it as normal.

Paying... I can't remember if it does it for you or not honestly. I am so used to using chronomages and my dragonfly pin now.. not to mention its rare I leave Illi.

Suggest you go to the web site and read up. It has some nice features.

It can be set to put away your weapon/shield when needed, and will also to rearm/shield yourself.

If you have the silvers on you it will automatically put you on the ferry and carts, and wait when necessary.

There are several places you can 'get on' or start the script, called 'Bus Stops' , so if you have your handy map, you can walk to the nearest next bus stop and restart the script.

It's very good, and I've been able to ditch a lot of shorter travel scripts.
