Have any of you tried this stuff?
I've been sick so much since I started working at Harvard, so I decided to try this stuff and see how it works.
Has anyone had any success with it, or tried it?

yeah, ive tried it on the suggestion of my mom last time i was sick. seemed to work pretty well. im not 100% sure it wasnt just coincidence but i wasnt sick for long after starting to take it. Its worth the try anyway.
Tried looking up the Emergen-C website. It sucks and froze up while loading.

Looks like another form of vitamin C.
I dont get how its any different than any other Vitamin C supplement.
**Edited to add:
I use the multi-vitamin/mineral supplement called Airborne when I think I'm going to get sick or have been around someone who's got the bug. Thats good stuff.

airborne sooo rocks when you don't follow the directions and instead pop the tablet into your mouth and chew...it's like orange flavored rabid dog look.

rofl I know someone who did that too. he was all like wait, I WAS SUPPOSED TO PUT IT IN WATER?! then the rabid dog look took over. good times.
I wonder if anyone has done that on a plane.
I have to tell that to a buddy of mine who flys since I dont anymore.

You could blow cash on the stuff, or just make sure you're getting a healthy dose of the big C on a daily basis.
You could also throw stuff into your diet that are known to help your immunoresponse ... such as raw garlic.
I still get sick, but a cold doesn't keep me down for more than a day or two if at all ... the flu I'm usually over with or able to get back on my feet in a few days.
I tried the stuff last year when I was hammered with the flu ... I didn't notice any difference.

Just drink a glass of OJ every day.

Yeah, the OJ hurts my stomach, and I'm diabetic, so it's a no go, or I'd do that.
I just figured I'd give something different a shot, see how it goes. I saw airborne in CVS, but I don't know, something about it didn't look appealing.

I've been using emergency for years, I need to get back to it, I like it better than airborne but it works just as well. Go for it!

I'd go with Zicam.

Taking the "recommended dosage" of Airborne can cause Vitamin A poisoning. Taking more than 500mg of vitamin C daily is [almost] useless since you pee out [most] of what your body can't use.* I wouldn't use either the emergen-c or the Airborne. Or, I'd take just one Airborne a day instead of the 5 they suggest.
You're better off just taking 250 vitamin C, plus an echinacea/goldenseal capsule before breakfast for a few days, in addition to whatever multi-vitamin you take daily.
*brackets included for emphasis
Can you eat tomatoes Ilvane? They contain a decent amount of vitamin C but since they're not citrus maybe they are "allowed" for diabetics?
You could always take a walk down toward the Mass Ave bridge and ask some of those MIT students to mix you up a mystery batch of something :)

If you're gonna go the way of major boost vitamin to prophlylax, go with something with good Zinc quantity (Zicam, etc).
I think they're all a waste of money, however...
