Found a weird item...

Found this on Meth about a year ago in a box.

a thin black lacquered phial suspended on a twisted silver chain

It's belt worn, and so far I've found no real use for it other than to poison yourself...

Tried to pour it on a weapon thinking maybe it would put poison flares on a blade or something, but got "You can't pour that."

Bard song didn't really reveal anything, and I have no idea what this item is for, if anything.

Anyone happen to see one of these things before and/or know what they do besides poison you when you drink it?

Did it spoil or something? Maybe get a Paladin to 1604, although, I don't think that's the spoiled messaging. Maybe it's weapon poison, like joo said. Um, you'd prolly have to get a hollowed weapon to test that, though.

Where can I get a hollowed weapon? Though I'd think the "You can't pour that" message would mean it can't be poured on anything right?

I've had two weird item gens in boxes before from older festivals - Nothing special about either of them. I thought it was a bug, but I was told it's part of the randomizer, somehow. I don't know if I believe that or not.
