My father in law has some fucking stupid ass mother fucking video camera that copies onto a stupid mother fucking tiny dvd disc. Well, now he would like me to take 20 of these stupid mother fucking god damn little disks and put them on one or two regular dvd disks.
Well, I am running a new fucking computer on a new Vista platform and my mother fucking computer has no fucking idea what the fuck it's supposed to do with these little mother fucking disks.
I want to tell my father in law to shove them up his ass right now.. but I figured I'd ask here if anyone knows how the fuck I would put them on a dvd disk. I have a dvd burner... but I've never used the stupid thing.
Help!

Nero can burn .vob files without a problem, but you need the .ifo file with it.

I'm beginning to believe that actually..
I have a sony that uses the little disks.
Use Nero as Bob says.
OR
Be old school, hook up the camera to your VCR or CD-R and record/pause/switch disks/record/pause.... etc. all onto one CD-R (or VCR).
Just to piss him off, I'd hand it all back on one VCR tape.

:wtf:
This video says you just right click on .vob file and change the suffix to .mpg and it should (most of the time) play as an mpg file through windows media.
.vob files are just .mp2 formats right?

1/3 of the work I do to earn $$ involves editing video (insert inappropriate amateur pr0n joke here) ((insert inappropriate gay pr0n joke here))
got the jump on you assholes :P
GOOD luck with the minidvd bullshit... MOST consumer DVD's can only handle a total of 2hrs video / 6 hours with serious compression (but it will look fux0r3d up).
Chances are, if it's a sony, it's a proprietary compression format that you won't even be able to deal with.... if it was normal compression, putting the discs in your computer would set off the autoplay function.
SOOO.. your best bet would be to actually buy a DVD recorder (walmart sells them on the cheap), hook them up, do the conversion thing, and then return the machine. when you buy that recorder.. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, because the editing process on those systems is VERY primitive and clunky..
One final option.. this involves some "technical knowhow", there's this connection called "Firewire" IEEE 1394 / "FireWire2" IEEE 1394b. If the camera has it, then you can connect it to your computer, and use an editing program to do the transfer / final compilation. (Firewire or USB cable works).
In addition, you can buy a conversion box to allow you to connect the video camera to your computer so that you can download the data to it through an editing program.
Make sure when you burn the final discs that the format you create is compatible with DVD players.. Sometimes the editing software will create a format that is non compliant..
talk about a fustercluck.
if all else fails, pay some assholes a small fortune to do the conversion for you.

Nero is one of the programs I liked most on Windows. I wish Linux had an equivalent application (k3b isn't it).

if his computer can't even read the disk, nero isn't worth shit.
