I'm interested in this but just don't understand why it's worth so much. I have a 6x crossbow which I bought for 2.75 mil and some fletched vultite arrows. I'm in Voln so I bless my arrows. Thats a consistent +50 undead killing weapon. With this weapon it averages +35, and the +7 to damage is negligible. What am I missing here?

You don't have to carry ammo so less weight, you dont have to spend time fletching, you dont have to spend favor blessing and its unique. They used to have the added value of less RT but the GM's saw to that issue.
As you've already pointed out probably not the best weapon for you since you prefer your current path but its really to each their own on these things.

You know, it's pretty funny.
The guy above fallensaint is wondering why it's worth so much, and I'm sad that he's had to lower the price so much.
I think it's worth at least double the minimum bid. /shrug

Well it was worth twice the bid when the RT wasn't fucked with.
I'm already losing 50m/500USD on the sale assuming I get a buyer at this price.
Thanks Warden!

Indeed. And I am truly sad about that. I hate when items are f'ed with.

Apologies, didn't know you were losing out so much on this. I can see some of the advantages to having a permablessed weapon especially if you aren't in Voln. Damn, if you can only choose the type of flares that comes on those bolts, then it'll be about even with my 6x xbow setup. And probably make an offer on it. Still very nice weapon though, they shouldn't have messed with the xbow especially since theres only one of it running around. I think Tsin's mattock is far more unbalancing...but eh..

There is one other crossbow mechanically identical to mine but has been altered and lightened.

These crossbows used to sell for 125-150 million.. Even with the nerfs I still think any self ammo bow is worth 75m at least.

Which means you'll offer him 30m, tops, for it?

I'm pretty shocked this hasn't sold at 50mil. If I played prime and an archer, I woulda bought this in a second.

I would, actually, buy this for 50, but I don't have that many coins at the moment, since I just bought a bunch of other nifty toys.

Soriel is originally right. Grab a 6x bow get some blessed arrows its the same thing.
I just wasted a shit-ton of money but I might try to sell off some stuff to get this at 50 if it doesn't sell soon.

You people seriously have no clue how insanely awesome it is to not have to collect your fallen arrows and bolts during a hunt. Not have to carry them, buy them or fletch them.
Self ammo in and of itself is such a boon.. Any archer with a decent amount of coins should want a self ammo bow. And a perma blessed version is the best way to go, unless you never ever hunt undead. I seriously get pissed off, when I hit my macro for "gather arrow" put arrow in arrow in my container", like 17 times before they actually get picked up after being 'too far away'.. I feel like killing the idiot who made the ranged system.
Collecting arrows will more than double my hunt times with any ranged character I use. I can kill pretty much anything faster than I can gather arrows. Not having to worry about it.. well I really miss the ebow I had.

I do have the coins to purchase this item. But I still can't go over the fact I'm shooting between +20 +50 and not a consistent +50. Also, I use a trigger to load my xbow and pickup arrows automatically after the kill. Plus, I can alternate my arrows out to exploit the weakness of what I'm hunting. The Permabless is a big bonus since I have to commission a cleric to bless several bundles of arrows every month or so which can get annoying.
My only real interest in the item is the low RT to cock the xbow. Isn't it true that you can't go below 6 seconds cocking time with a xbow? I think with enough strength you can get this particular xbow down to 2 maybe 3 seconds?

Again, GM knowledge. I also advise people to not buy any returners currently, they'll be dropping in value drastically over the course of this year.
