I think bracelet, wristband, wristcuff, and armband all might fly. Maybe I can get them to do pauldron, but I doubt it.

I had both my col bracers altered into duplicates of things I already had. Once was a bracelet, one was a wristlet. However, at a later merchant, I saw someone be told that bracelet was not acceptable, so there may be merchant inconsistency in what you are able to get made.

I've personally seen bracelets made from the CoL bracers, so it may be down to interpretation of the rules. Since they're wristworn and not armor, you do have a claim that you should be able to get them made into various wristworn items. Offhand I can think of bracelets, wristlets, wrist-cuffs, manacles and so on.

I will have to do some digging to see if I can find armor components that aren't already included in my vambrace alteration. Merchants are EXETREMLY inconsistent. This leads people to shop around, and really, i've been turned down for so many nitpicky things that if I get a somewhat illegal alteration through, I don't shed all that many tears. Nothing I own is pulsing with the souls of a thousand dead halflings.

I asked Baszlo what the rules were for altering those bracers.

He said, as long as it stayed a noun that made sense to be wristworn, it was a-okay.

He didn't say "a-okay" though. That was a paraphrase.

Fine, I looked through my logs:

You quietly whisper to Baszlo, "Do the bracers have to stay bracers? They don't inspect as armor."
Baszlo whispers, "It depends... they have to stay on your arms or wrists."

But yeah. If any merchant says no, you can say that the item's creator said ^ ^ ^.

He then made me:

Baszlo shows you a copper-edged stained glass wristcuff, which he is holding in his right hand. Gaps grace the surface of the wide copper wristcuff, its openings filled by small panes of glass ranging through a series of blue tones from sky to sea and everything in between. I designed this in under 90 seconds to match those stupid anime steel weapons, since Brad has been awol for like two months and I feel bad he missed everything:

Bracer is a good noun. I may keep one a bracer, but I dont like overly long descripts.

The current form of the thing is pretty redundant. A white pearl-inlaid bracer clasped with a sliver of nacre. So basically, a white pearl-inlaid bracer decorated with mother-of-pearl. Bleh.
