They say the people closest to you hurt you the most, I learned that the hard way tonight. A certain friend of mine, we'll say his name rhymes with "Rick" is passed out drunk on my porch right now. I have no problem with that, it's his actions that I just now found out about that cause me so much distress.
I went into the kitchen to retrieve one of four fantastic blueberry muffins I had bought from Publix earlier tonight. From across the room I saw the muffins had been taken out of the plastic Publix bag - hmm. As I got closer I noticed the muffin case was open and it looked like at least one was missing - fair enough, bit of a snack. Imagine, if you will, my abject horror when I finally arrived to where the case was sitting to see that each and every muffin top had been chewed off down to the muffin sleeve! They weren't even removed from their individual container, the box had been lifted up to his mouth and he NOM NOM'd them like some overstuffed hyena eating only the tastiest morsels.
I won't say, for my own dignity, if I wept. But I will say that my world is falling apart; if someone can NOM NOM a man's muffins in his own house, is nothing left sacred?
