Windows Vista -- French to English

Out of necessity, my wife had to buy a laptop in Paris. Thankfully, she bought an "entertainment" laptop so I could use it while I was here. The only problem is that it has Vista and it's the French version. Now, I have never used Vista and I don't speak French. So this has been quite a nuissance thus far.

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can just switch the language on your OS without installing an entirely new version. Anyone have experience with that sort of thing?
