That was quick.

I thought you were going to be on a wild goose chase after all these years..

The key factor in getting it so quickly. It was most appreciated!

Nifty.

I know the shield casts a spell for an absurd amount of MIU but other than that my memory fails me.

Actually, what other prof shields are left from that release?

Works perfectly fine with 19 ranks, actually. In fact, I don't know that it even requires any.

Ranger pavis casts Ewave. Rogue casts Tremors. Warrior casts Heal. Wizard casts deep blues. Bard casts Camo. Sorceror casts Warding Sphere. Cleric casts ... something. I forget that one. As for which ones are left, I have no idea. The ranger one is the only one I've seen in years. Belnia sold it to Meldikar awhile back and he just sold it to me.

I know who owns the Warrior Pavis, I just don't know if the player is still around. Odds are it'll never leave their hands.

Maybe it was the bard pavis. I think I remember SP complaining about the ranks needed.

I just complained because I was 138 when I won the pavis, and it required I believe 15 ranks of MIU (of which I had none). FYI, it was either 138'ish or low 140's that was the highest level you could get in GS3 hunting. Anyway, the pavis was a piece of shit anyway as the spell failure pretty much had over a 100% chance of warding me even with a handful of spirit spells.

Do you know how the failure works? I've been playing with this one quite a bit, and it hasn't failed or cursed me yet. I thought they were on the new self-mana system, with the double mana cost and a chance of cursing you (not sure what the chance is).

Looking at their respective spells makes me laugh at how warriors are fucked again.

Heal is a pretty pathetic spell. The Wizard Pavis's deep blues isn't much better. Of course, if you can get the shields together, any shield can cast all of the spells present on the shields in the room.

All I know is it failed a lot. At least 1 in every 10 casts. Also, I'm pretty sure the shields have to be in the user's left hand in order to make the spell accessible to the other shields. All in all the pavis' were an interesting idea, but shittily implemented and garbage items.

The whole left-hand thing is annoying, but I just wrote a script to pull it out, raise it, and stick it back (I use a bow).

Whats the clerics spell, anyone know?

Oh, Quake, I think. Or maybe they had Tremors and Rogues had Quake. Empaths had brights.

Also, if any of the other owners are around, it would be fun to play with the shields for a few.

I almost bought the sorcerer pavis. That would lead to some reason for N and E to interact a bit more than now were I to get my hands on it. Pity you would just be bumming my Warding Shield where your spell would be useless!

I hear there are nifty, nifty scripts when they're together, though ... lookie, incentive!

Hrm. After playing with it a bit more, the pavis does try to curse you relatively often, maybe 5-10% of the time, but it's not much of a big deal. If Nuadjha's self-spelled at all, it's literally impossible for him to ward himself by casting Curse. It also doesn't take any mana, so it's just kind of cute.

It just sucks being a sorcerer when using ANY type of self-mana item, newstyle, as our Curse CS is rather awesome.

Yeah, I feel for you. That'd be harsh. I did catch myself once in a +108 endroll with the "sickly green aura" curse (whatever one it is), and damn near killed myself. Three bleeders, four minors, -150 blood ... it was ridiculous.

I have the wizard's pavis...and a necklace you want, heh. Perhaps we'll bump into each other again on the Dais sometime. As for failure...I've had the thing for quite some time and have only been cursed once.

I'll look for you. And sell me the necklace already, dang it! (Well, okay, not this second. I just spent most of my coins. :P )
