When I was a little bastard child, before I was fathered, I bought Game Genie, and I couldn't figure out that I had to use, like, an inch of arm strength to jam the fucker in the Nintendo. So my mom had to call a technician from Nintendo (they seriously existed, I think) to explain how to stick the Game Genie in.

They used to not even charge anything. Just call (206)-885-PLAY (7529) was the original help line. I remember sitting on hold forever waiting for someone to help me get unstuck from whatever it was I was stuck on. All you had to pay were the long distance charges. I have no idea how I remember that number. I wonder what else I remember...
