I heard rumor once that spelling up youngsters offered something. That needs verified.
Running messages, etc. in towns.
Blacksmith, making iron in the landing.
Jumping out of the treehouse
Tapping on a coin whilest hunting rats in the sewers.
Meditating with a smooth stone in your off hand.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of creative 'other' methods.

Foraging, forging, bounty, guild, gemsinging, healing, picking, raising......... That is all I can think of right now. Keep in mind the exp gained from things like foraging etc., have a cap on them. You can only get a certain amount per day or something. Isn't much... doubt it is over 5k but I could be wrong.

Spelling up a newb does give some experience. I haven't investigated it rigorously but I've seen it happen.

I've gotten exp for spelling up newbs and showing them around. I think the messages is something like....

You get a good feeling from helping out someone new...

Something along the lines of that...

I thought it was a deed, not exp, for spelling up a new character. Or that might just be raising them.

I spelled up my new locker character to get him House-aged. As long as they're under 3 you get exp at least once, maybe twice for spelling them up.

Couldn't tell more because it took about half a second to pass that training.

That's part of the sprite quest, where you're supposed to prepare for battle. The sprite tells you to head to the Small Park and ask for some spells to help. If someone cast a spell on you at that time, the caster gets experience for it.

The 'first' time you spell up a true noob with the fairy thing you get exp. at least 2 months ago.

Lol. Those were old school rumors that I think were finally dismissed. Back in the mid 90's every noob in the game had smooth stones.

Its snipe hunting, Gemstone style.

I love it.

Finding bugs and submitting reports will often yield exp, guild training, and lastly, roleplay.

I've submitted a number of good bug reports, but never got anything out of them. I didn't expect anything though.

Some GMs do, some don't. It also depends on who was the first to submit the report.

He said odd ways. those are pretty mundane. =0

I Think you have to be titled to get the XP bonus for spelling up youngsters. because the only character i've gotten the message for was my empath. (Level 25). I'll do some testing and check in the future.

It's not alot of EXP. It's gone in a pulse.

All EXP gain is mundane.

-Hunting.
-Healing.
-Raising.
-Foraging.
-Bounty tasks.
-Imbeding, which is actually significant compared to some of the other mundane things. 93+93+12 on XXX (3 pulses)
-Imbuing? I'll have to check this one out.
-Does 714 give exp? I've never messed with it. NOPE
-Disarming boxes.
-Picking boxes.
-408ing boxes.
-407ing boxes.
-Throwing items in the trash.
-Occasionally loresinging still gives exp., I guess it's crowd related?
-Spelling up newbies (this is not sprite related). 90+60 on XXX (2 pulses)
"You feel pretty good about having lent a helping hand to the inexperienced." After casting 401 on one of my newbie locker characters. This might be timer related, because I've done it a couple of times before when I was moving her from another town and got the exp.
-The deed thing is the sprite deed quest (or is that Voln?) where someone gives you a deed. The giver loses a deed, but I think they get exp for it, I don't exactly remember.
-Quests like the Black Swan Castle quest.
-In-Game surveys used to give exp, not sure about now.
-Profession Guild tasks.
-Alchemy.
-Fletching and other artisan guild training.
-Enchanting.
-Adding resistance to armor? - Never messed with it myself
-Making Iron.
-RPAs.
-Bug submission, which is not always the case.

Newbie Related EXP:
-Visiting certain areas/shops.
-Successfully passing Raging Thrak's quiz. The other guy in Icemule as well.
-Any of the sprite quests.
-Messages.
-Successfully getting some guards to drink, apparently.

As far as the newbie spellup experience thing, their xp resets every time they log in, or at least it used to. Spellup, logout, spellup, logout, etc. I've also had it happen when I kept a sprite on a newbie up to like level 12 or so.

I'm not certain about the logout/login as I never intentionally abused it to fry, but I know I've gotten it on seperate login sessions with the same 2 characters.

It never gave exp. The healer healing the head wound it used to cause resulted in the exp. ;)

I figured as much. Oh well. I doubt adding resistance garners any exp as well.

There still seems to be some kind of timer involved here as I just logged the newbie in again, got the experience for casting 401 on them. I then logged off and back on to repeat and did not garner any exp. However, there seems to be no limit on the number of times you can do this, other than the time limit. The timer is greater than five minutes and less than twelve hours...

1. Join or find a way into Rone Academy.
2. Enter the rogue's room.
3. Pick the -30 lock.
4. Open the box, which will transport you into the "real" rogue's room.
5. Leave the "real" rogue's room.
6. Go back to step 2.
7. Don't get caught.

This has probably been fixed already, but it might still work for all I know. Just don't get busted or you'll most likely be in some shit.

Reporting most bugs and typos in general places/items/NPCs I've found is usually rewarded with an experience reward or RPA.

Finding bugs and submitting reports will often yield exp, guild training, and lastly, roleplay.

Two months ago I submitted about 15 bugs at once. All were legit bugs. I had been saving them up.

Not one thank you, not one dose of exp, never even got acknowledgement.

You don't always. It could be that it's been bugged by various accounts, or that you actually enjoy making the community less buggy. I've always gotten insta-EXP from bug submissions ranging from duping to simple typos: The greatest reward is having my bugfinding OCD temporarily satiated.

We could also run all of the Aelotoi out of town :wasntme:

I've submitted various bugs over the years, and never gotten so much as a peep from anyone either. I think they just delete bug reports they don't want to fix, cause I've had GMs take over systems where I've reported bugs on, and know others have, that haven't been fixed for years. Then the new GM rolls in, and you ask them to fix a bug, and they immediately fix it, but didn't even know it was buggy.

I thought time warps were from hardcore server crashes and having to reset?
