>glance
You glance down to see a miniature emerald sphere in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.
>l sph
The emerald sphere pulses occasionally with a deep viridian light and a faint hiss. A thin coating of some caustic substance glimmers on its surface. The somewhat slimy film irritates your skin, but is not strong enough to do any real damage.
found it in a box, appraises for about 400 silver at the gemshop.

For the record: nickel chloride fucking sucks to get in your eyes.

I'm going to say yes on the grounds that bleach is a chloride solution, but nickel alone sucks so adding chlorine to it makes it devastating. It's a carcinogen.

My momma was cleaning the ceiling once and got a drop of bleach in the eye. That year was bad for the family eyes... my brother scratched his retina and my dad ended up with a corneal ulcer, as well.
I was spared, thankfully. However, I did lose my (brand new by a month, 300 dollar titanium ray-ban framed) eye-glasses. Dropped them in Lake Erie while tending the halyards on my boss' boat. I was nonplussed.
Nickel Chloride in the eyes sounds like a good scene for a horror movie.
Ngnnnn ....
JIZZZZ!!!!
There I said it. I honestly feel miles better now.

I was walking by a counter at the in-laws house and a jug of bleach randomly fell and splashed bleach in my left eye.
I screamed in pain.
The wife laughed her ass off.
Good times..

Er, by any chance do you mean scratched cornea? Cornea outside front of eyeball, cuz retina is INSIDE back of the eye where the optic nerve is...

I totally thought I changed that. Yea, I most certainly meant cornea. I guess that I was a little tired this morning.
