I'm real curious. If you're firing a crossbow, already loaded and everything, it's 2 seconds no matter what right? Even if you're in plate with no armor trained?

Heck if I know, but this sounds like the second worst CvC build question I've ever heard of in my life. (The first was the dood asking if a cleric fogging to the target, already cocked and kneeling, spelled up, signed up, etc, would be a good "assassin".) Just make sure you 3x in hiding, or pick Ranger as the profession.

I still think it would add 1 second for an aimed shot, and another for aiming while hiding. Though my expertise on crossbows is non-existant.

It would indeed, pre-haste effects. The 300+ AS at pretty much lvl 15 and beyond would make it viable, provided someone can weigh in on the original question and leave your sniping effort near 5 RT. COL + spirit strike + a decent budget = 350/400 AS at lvl 20, so eh, have fun!

Don't forget the +30 AS for kneeling, and the added AS bonuses for Dwarves and Gnomes.
For shits without the giggles I tried this out, At level 3 my dwarf had like 113 AS, with a DS of -3.

Yes. Pull the trigger.

That is rockin'! Too bad crossbows aren't really viable for primary hunting. I guess this doesn't work for a longbow or any other ranged weapons?
