Hey, we might need to address the whole "not picking counts as zero". If we do total picks I go from tied for 14th to tied for 8th. Huh.

Oh, and I beat Solkern by Jesuit prowess, no?

Edit: And Atl, the Bills are 6-6 tyvm. Maybe that's why you have the lowest amount of correct picks.

<<Hey, we might need to address the whole "not picking counts as zero". If we do total picks I go from tied for 14th to tied for 8th. Huh.>>

Given a high enough sample size (16 games per week * 16 weeks is pretty high, as is, say, 70% of that), the percentage of correct picks is a valid scoring system. I don't know what consensus everyone came to, but using purely number of correct picks is a skewed system when not everyone picks for every game.

RC, I like your format better than Latrins. Thx.Bullet points are heteronormativity wearing a party hat with a martini in each hand. :grr:
If we do total picks I go from tied for 14th to tied for 8th. Huh.Yes, as the original discussion demonstrated: going to total picks greatly enhances the position of people like you and me (folks who pick a lot but aren't spectacularly accurate). This isn't as big a deal as it would have been in years past because we have an unusually high number of people who have picked every game (14 versus 4 last year and 1 the year before).

How much harder do the Bears quarterbacks have to blow for them to put Orton back in there (remember that rookie that won 8 games in a row, went 10-5 overall, and set the Bear's record for the most wins by a rookie QB? yeah he's still on the team - I'm geographically required to know this kind of shit)?

heh, I went with the redskins mainly because the last few meetings between the two Clinton Portis has had career days rushing the ball. Turns out he didnt even need to have a great day for the bears to screw up enough times to lose the game.

How much harder do the Bears quarterbacks have to blow for them to put Orton back in there

Looks like Rex is out for the remainder of the season. Griese is injury prone to begin with ... so he could see some time before the end of season. I wouldn't hold my breath though. Had the staff any brains, Orton would have been taking snaps in practice the moment Rex got yanked the first time.

Griese is a top notch QB in my book, he just doesn't have much to work with, nor does he have a line capable of allowing him to do what he needs to do.

If the Bears have any inclination of a winning season next year they'll have to shit can Rex and Turner, look into replacing some of the O-line ... or kicking their ass into gear, and then look into getting some people that can run passing routs and catch the ball. That and look into the LB situation ... Urlacher is pretty much done.

On a side note, they got rid of the wrong running back last year. Peterson has some bad habits that need fixed or Peterson needs benched. The man gets a hand off and stutter steps at the line. I shudder to think how many yards he lost this season simply due to retarded hesitation.

TheEschaton

On a side note: Todd Collins?!?!?!?

He's been on the bench FOR TEN YEARS, since he started for Buffalo in 1997. WTF!

I'm not putting sunday's picks in on thursday.. have no idea what the weather or injury status is going to be by game time.

I dunno why the others do it. Short of time perhaps during the week nights?
