This comes from the Dunemaul guild. I'm interested to hear from other people.

Does your raiding guild have a policy of gremoving players who apply to other guilds? Is it limited to app'ing guilds w/ further progression? Does the player app'ing matter? Thoughts?

All the raid guilds I've been in have had this rule, and I thought it was good. Basically everyone always kept apps into the best guilds on a server, and it really hurt moral.

Course, I quit when TBC came out, and I'm sure guild day-to-day's have changed a lot now that everything is 10/25man based.

My boyfriend is the GM of Vendetta on Earthen Ring, horde-side. We have a loose policy on app'ing to other guilds without notifying us first. Typically, unless the person is very crucial to our raid structure, we gkick without further comment. Once in a very rare while we will approach the person to find out what's wrong, but if they do it again, we kick them and it's done.

Wouldn't that be a tight policy, not a loose one?

Not really. We belonged to Blood Fist prior to Vendetta and they were very tight in their policy- didn't matter if you were a keystone to their raiding or not, if you app'ed out, you were kicked. Same with gquit, if you did that you were under no circumstances allowed back in, no matter what. We're pretty strict but if the person is important or an integral part of our guild, we make exception. A lot of other guilds don't do that.
