Here is your chance to prognosticate!

In my opinion Tebow is a history making cold stone lead pipe lock unless Daniels destroys OK with more fireworks than the Deathstar explosion.

I smell a HUGE I TOLD YOU SO coming up to all you Tebow haters.

who do you think will replace Miles? (if he goes now) interesting press conference

Sean of the Thread
12-01-2007, 02:16 PM
Who knows wtf is going on now. Either way OHIO STATE alum Herbstreit pulled some tacky unprofessional shit considering LSU still has a serious game to play. There were other stories floating around about him shopping real estate in MI this week as well. /shrug

If he leaves I'd say Steve Spurrier replaces him.

Miles staying at LSU
by Jim Carty | The Ann Arbor News
Saturday December 01, 2007, 11:52 AM

Sources close to both Les Miles and the LSU administration report the coach has reached a multi-year contract extension with his current school and will remove himself from consideration as the next Michigan coach.

Details of the extension are expected to be released by LSU, which has scheduled a 1:45 p.m. press conference prior to today's Southeastern Conference title game between the Tigers and Tennessee.

LSU will reportedly make Miles one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.

Earlier in the day, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit reported Miles has agreed to become Michigan's next coach and will be introduced at a press conference next week. Herbstreit also said that Georgia Tech defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta would accept the same position on Miles' staff at Michigan.

But LSU and its coach were already putting the finishing touches on a deal to keep him in the Southeastern Conference.

Auburn is having trouble meeting Tuberville's money-hungry ass too. Some reports have him going to Arkansas or possibly LSU, blah blah. I personally think he and Borges (the O-coordinator) will stay. What a buncha drama.

How great would it be that Coach Miles was going to Michigan but the report by Herbstreit ( an OSU quarterback / alum / homer ) caused him to back out, effectively costing Michigan their first choice for a new head coach?

Sean of the Thread

That thought crossed my mind.

I still wouldn't be knocked flat on my ass if he still ended up there. He didn't deny or say a word about Michigan really. Just said that he is "THE LSU COACH NOW"...

Gotta keep his team focused for the game tonight at the very least.

My money is on him pulling a SABAN!

As impressive as Brennans numbers are, he's done it against joke teams. If I had a vote in the Heisman, I'd be making Tebow my guy.

McFadden still has a damn good shot at it though, but I doubt he'll end up winning it.

I doubt Tuberville will leave. The Auburn people will find some money for him. He's a good fit in Auburn and from what I understand people seem to like him. But you live near there for now and probably know a lot more than I do on that topic.

I doubt Miles is going anywhere right now. LSU is going to do everything they can to keep his wild ass there. And I doubt Michigan would put up with his crazy fucking play calling up there in Big 10 country (bunch of traditional pussies). He's a good fit in the SEC.

2500 yards passing, 65% CMP, 30 TD's, 6 INT's, 200 yards rushing and 1 rushing TD are fantastic? And you think Tebow shouldn't win?

Someone's definitely talking out of their ass, but it isn't me.

Skeeter
12-08-2007, 03:57 PM
Tebow's definitely got the numbers to win it which is why I said he would. I'm not convinced he's the best player in the country.

I agree if you just look at the stats (what else are you going to do with awards.) he gets the heisman.

His stats seem to me to be the product of the system and not an overall indicator of greatness. But I can't offer a better solution to base the voting on.

So Tebow gets the heisman

RichardCranium
12-08-2007, 04:01 PM
Okay, I'll admit I misunderstood your intentions and took a jab at your team's latest Heisman winner. I agree that winning based solely on stats isn't the way it should be. Otherwise a lot more defensive players would win. But it's tradition, and whatteryagonndo.

Colt Brennan is NOT the next Timmy. Hawaii has its fair share of "system quarterbacks", but Brennan is not one of them. He is genuinely the best passer in the country, bar none, and would easily stay leg to leg with Tebow if he needed to scramble more often. Tebow will never make it in the NFL, doing anything but backfield flare routes and slot receiving duty. Brennan will be a franchise QB. END OF.

Tebow definitely won't be playing on Sundays, unless an NFL team is interested in a fullback who throws ducks. I don't think Brennan will do much either, his arm strength seems pretty low, his deep passes seem to float. I'm not 100% sure yet on him though, I haven't seen enough of him.
