If it's the same bug i'm thinking of this is quite humorous, as when soandso talked to the GH, the GH wasn't concerned because, "It looks like a hard one to replicate"

That GH should be slapped. Less than a week later, their banning people for it.

Since the bug has been corrected.. what was it?

I never tried it, but it appeared that a few did.

Basically, all you had to do was have a warrant out for your arrest and goto your locker.

Open the locker, put your item in the locker. Then you close your locker. Item is then saved in the locker.

Next, open the locker, take the item out. And wait for the night watchman to come arrest you.

After you've been arrested and head to your locker, the item will be in your locker and you'll have one on you.

Judging by the amount of people that I've heard that have done this, it worked.

The constable wouldn't enter the lockers but the night watchman would, so it had to be at a time when the night watchman was around.

I don't know why anyone would have tried it after it had been reported, unless they wanted to be locked out.

How do you know he's not online? Are you watching him? You don't usually see all of staff on the who is online list in the game anyway.

Besides, some people IM differntly than they do when they are being professional, so I think you're assuming too much.

But no, i had no idea who the hell the person was nor do i care. i sent a copy of the log to gs feedback asking for proof of the bug. frankly i dont care bout the coins, just checkin to see if he was tellin the truth or not.

Michaelous, I can totally understand why you're angry, you just got burned out of 20 or so dollars. But you're taking out your anger on the wrong person. You got scammed by the person who sold you the silvers, not by GM Khaladon or Simutronics.

There was bug abuse as described in this thread, someone exploited this bug and decided they could make a pretty penny outside of the game in doing so. You just got the crappy end of this whole deal, and while you should by all means be pissed, you have to also understand that this is the bug abuser's fault, not Simu's, and misdirecting your anger against Simu might cause you even further problems with them.

It really sucks that someone would abuse a bug like this and then scam people out of real money. I'd be awfully mad myself. Any chance you paid through paypal or credit card and can get your money back through them? I know you feel that Simu is partly to blame, but you have to remember that they're responsible for maintaining the integrity of the game and confiscating things created through bug abuse is one of their duties. The folks you really have a right to be mad at are the ones who duped you and others into spending money on non-existent items.

My only thought on all this is that the more bug-abusers (and hopefully the disruptive players too) are permanently banned, the better off the rest of us are. Some people actually still enjoy playing gemstone for the indended use: Roleplaying and fun.

you see, thats about the player not the character. I am talking of the OOC whispers that you, the player, sent to me, the player.

You know, when you tried to convince me that the player of Alcoven, Lymbo, Rarr and sometimes Wanion, who had previously played all of those (even Wanion who I was led to believe was his mothers character and he found out the password that she had changed on occasion - anyway, that is just rumour so I cant say anything about whether that was the truth) but I can say that the same player played Rarr, Alcoven and Lymbo.

If you remember, you tried to convince me that the player of Alcoven had done something wrong at home and had been banned by his mother from playing GS any more and that the account had been given to his sister. Despite the fact that there was crossover from Alcoven to Rarr. Despite the fact that Rarr behaved in exactly the same way as Alcoven. You tried to convince me it wasnt the same person.

And now you have disowned her in game because she behaves the exact same way and Alcoven and Lymbo did.

I misread that statement. Regardless of how I feel about Rarr in gemstone, i still in no way believe that she is currently the original player of Alcoven, just my opinion.
