Do you think the change to experience rewards is good?

My initial vote goes to yes, simply because I can gain exp much faster by pounding out bounties.
However, it had the desired effect from Simu on me. I interact with the game quite a bit more. I used to do a bounty or two and time it so I was saturated with 2000+ experience and could just go afk at a table for an hour and do RL work.
No more saturatation for hours from me, which makes me a sad panda

It really depends if you're a power hunter or a lazy do a bounty and table for a few hours type.

What do you mean by a positive change? Positive as in players getting more experience and advancing faster or positive as in encouraging roleplay?
Personally, it's making me powerhunt more than the absurd amount I already do.

I agree.
The changes make me want to hunt a lot more than I used to, so even though I now rest only in public areas, I'm not exactly there to RP nor do I stick around for many lengthy periods of time before going off to my next hunt.

As a player I both like and dislike it.
I like it because I am notoriously shitty at leveling characters. I run out of steam easily.. right now I'm pushing my cleric because the two people I RP with are speed demons leveling wise and really motivate me. Getting instant exp and absorbing at a better rate is nice in that sense- I can put in less work and get good returns.
That being said I also feel that rather than helping with making RP a more appealing thing, this is turning more people (myself included) into power hunters. I'll never do something with a character that I feel bad about RP wise for the sake of mechanics, but that being said, I actually used to sort of like getting to sit around and chat for more than a few minutes before heading back out to hunt.
We'll see how it pans out I guess. I think the changes were made with good intentions and thus I just sort of need more time to figure out how much I like or dislike them.

I definitely like the change. I've gotten almost 100k this weekend from it.

I love the changes. I play casually these days and it helps keep the interest alive. It benefits casual players and powerhunters alike.

I have mixed feelings about it.. before when I was saturated I was way more likely to sit and RP at the dais or wherever, now, since I'm not saturated very long I go hunt quicker and burn out on sitting here hunting and RP less.

All it does is to encourage the short amount of time between Saturation and fried to be spent unloading treasure and spelling back up for the next task.

Fallen has a point. My vote is presently no. With the GoL and the new Absorption rates, it puts more pressure on level level level then it does to RP. I would, for one, be more comfortable with this if the GoL was removed.
The way I look at it, they just gave us the option to get mad exp. This doesn't mean you HAVE to go hunting like a bat out of hell. You may have to sacrafice a little exp to Rp or just Rp while you hunt.

The change was made to encourage roleplay. Do I think the bounty guild changes encourage roleplay? No.

I don't think that this change is really that impactful on RP in general, there are people who are going to balls to the wall exp, and there are people who are going to play barbie. Personally I find it quite insulting that RP is something you do because you can't get more exp... those aren't the type of people you want RPing. Reducing the exp curve is either going to make too many idiots "RP" powerful douches, or it's going to let people get to where they want to be, and be happy with it, and develop RP skills.
The other theory is that in earlier GS times the fact that the exp curve was so freaking huge that it was a mountain not worth climbing, so you just RPed and got the exp asit came; slowly, no rush.

From what I've noticed (around Icemule at least). Is that people are doing bounties constantly, but the time in-between is so short that now its spent in TC or at the well. I'm seeing a lot of people who normally sit at a table and soak away the saturation (like I used to) out and about talking and having fun.
I think this change DOES encourage power-hunting, but the limited time between hunts results in more interaction. It's still pretty early to say anything for certain.
Also, I think the exp changes only really effect the higher level characters (60or higher) since the instant exp is noticed most by them. (Their tasks are generally worth 1000+ exp, while younger characters are only getting 500 or lower).

You can make insane amounts of exp at cap, especially if you cache gems, can forage well, and cache skins.

I feel sorry for you, then. Last time I strolled into TC it was Ultra-noob center, and I almost 635'd then bolted. Like claws on a blackboard, barf.

Was that in the last week? Or before the exp change?

I don't see why anyone would think this is a bad change. Just because you can gain exp faster now doesn't mean you have to stop your RPing short because OMG I'D LOVE TO STAY AND FINISH RPING BUT MY BOUNTY TIMER'S UP I GOTTA GO!!!!! If you're complaining about the change because of stuff like that, then RPing isn't your priority and you should just shut up, because nobody's forcing you to go back out and hunt so soon.
On the other hand, if everyone's running around like a lunatic trying to do bounties like mad, that's still better overall for RP I think, since there's usually a higher probability you'll be interacting with someone while running around town than when you and everyone else are afk at a table.

RP is always my first priority in game- I won't leave a situation to go hunt or do bounties unless it makes sense to do so.
However, I am saying that it's not going to have the desired effect that was stated-- to foster RP.

I will certainly agree that less people will be spending time AFK. However, people develop trends, and while people may not leave an RP scenario to go hunt because they already absorbed all their bounty EXP, they WILL be spending a great deal more time out in the field instead of resting at a node.
I wouldn't call it a "good" change or a "bad" change, I just don't see it as a change that was made solely to foster RP.

Right, and resting at a node usually means you're afk.
Less afk = more chance for interaction, however small it may be.
Any interaction = more RP than being afk.

I'm with Methais on this one.
Less time afk = more time RP'ing (however slight it might be)

I would say more RP takes place on nodes than in the field. Don't have anything to back that up, though, besides common sense.
