The spirit shards and the non-adjective essence shards are byproducts of the training spells for channel and infuse, respectively.

The only thing they're good for is throwing down the well. They have no use or value.

That's not to pooh-pooh on this sale. There are still plenty of things in the batch worth buying, and I've seen similar collections go for more.

But the spirit and regular essence shards aren't the selling points.
