Official: Alchemy Recipe Updates

A large number of Alchemy recipes have been updated.

The core of this update addresses the difficulty of collecting the large numbers of gems requried for training Potions and Trinkets skills. The majority of Alchemy recipes that previously used whole gems have been changed to use powdered versions of the same gem.

Additionally, the Alchemy shops in pure guilds will now stock a selection of powdered gems for sale. The gems available in a given guild are dependant on realm, and the requirements that profession has. If there are powdered gems that seem to be missing, and yet required in an Alchemy recipe, please post here and I will be happy to look into it.

Along with this update, the previously missed changes to Minor Spiritual recipes should now be live, including boil or simmer in many recipes that lacked either before.

As usual, ASK the skilled masters in your local guild hall to UPDATE your recipes books to have any recipes you have written updated.

he's so fucking retarded, as if he's completely mastered all of alchemy and they timed it JUST for him... the fact our list tasks make us go retrieve dumb shit for the guild, and then we have to grind all kinds of shit for the guild..where the fuck WAS it going... now they're selling crushed gems... 'disney' change!! .. not really. I killed a few thousand skeletons that last 2 or 3 days of trinkets for maybe 20 or 30 black jaspers... at a .5% drop rate woohoo. I wish you could bitch slap people over the internet.

I understand this change is great for alchemists, but it also has a larger effect. Those alchemy gems were making up a majority of sales on the amunet, and sales are always good for an economy. That being said, at least the amunet won't be so cluttered with people listing every gem they have in their bags for sale.

That would have died down, if not completely, after a while too. Once the initial rush of people were bored with it or mastered, there likely wouldn't have been enough of a market to sustain people actually making the attempt to sell them.

Does Viril n' puss ever not complain/QQ about everything? I rememebr way back when I first started I wished other professions had someone like him with the same cry assing to get things done as the sorcerers did. a few weeks later I quickly took it back.

I was gonna try and find a posative thread where he didn't think warlocks take it in the ass, and didn't whine about clerics TP's, and anyuhitng and everything- but alas....there is no search option on the GS Forums, and I'd probably snap from all the cry assing.

Speaking of, I'm looking to collect the different shop inventories to include in my merchant listings.

So far I have the Empath guilds from the Landing and River's Rest, the Wizard guilds from River's Rest, Ta'Illistim and Ta'Vaalor, the Sorcerer guild from Ta'Illistim and the Cleric guild from Zul Logoth, since they've been posted already.

If anyone else can stop by the other guilds and just get me a list of what's there with the price, I'd be most grateful.

By the by, the gems needed for minor spirit recipes were left out for a time, so some guilds will need to be re-priced. Minor spirit gems are missing from the River's Rest Empath, Ta'Illistim Sorcerer and Zul Logoth Cleric guilds.

I now have full lists of the Empath and Cleric guilds from Icemule, Solhaven and the Landing, and will be working on lists for Sorcerers and Wizards in that same area, since that's where I keep my characters and the others I have access to have already been reported.
