Which of these new professions is most intriguing to you?

I'm actually fairly excited about the monk class. I've been wanting to play a 100% pure brawling/martial arts since I started playing GS. But with the current setup of the game..the one I want to make is not an option. I've always viewed the make up as a person who uses no shield..and light, to no armor. without shield or armor training..a brawler is worthless in GS3. I hope with the bonuses to lighter armor..and the new monk class..that will change.

Savants. The idea of 2 (or is it 3?) new spell circles for them sounds pretty cool. Paladins have been done to death, and beating something with your fist isn't all that appealing to me.

My philosophy has always been that the profession that requires the least amount of equipment/money is the best profession.

Some old bards will be equipped with all 10x gear... for free... interesting dilemma with breakage (dentage) looming.

Monks seemed like a cool idea, up until I heard that they're not able to swing at undead with a closed fist. Voln Fu will be nice, but as a monk, it'd be nice if you didn't have to worry about potentially carrying a brawling weapon to hunt undead early on. Another thing is that they're going to be forced to wear armor. Traditionally, brawlers wear no armor whatsoever. Their defense comes from their ability to move rather quickly and dodge attacks, rather than letting their armor absorb some of it. Monks will also be spellcasters. Since none of the monk spell lists have been announced yet, we don't know what kind of spells they'd be using. There isn't much that would make sense to me, other than say temporarily e-blading their fists... I love the idea of a monk, as well as the roleplay aspect. I just think they're going about it all wrong.

Personally, I imagine monks as being more physical than paladins.
