But I breezed over a few sites for it and it looks pretty sweet. I love that kind of item specialization etc game. Just wondering what the game play is like.

I pre-ordered Assassin's Creed on xbox360 for my nephew yesterday.

It's interesting. I really should be playing with it more. I've tried a battlemaster and a marksman, which are both pretty sweet.

It takes some getting used to as once you're in the hunting instance, the mouse moves your targetting and you move with the keyboard. The movement is fine as that's how I did it with WoW, just not used to targetting with the mouse.

The quests are in the same fashion. The cool part I found is that you find mods to add to inventory. Should you decide to move on from that item and sell it, you're able to remove those mods to add to another item, they aren't permanent (unless there are some that are, but I didn't run across any yet).

I just don't have enough hours in my day to play so many games. But this is tres awesome. It's Diablo on steroids.

Nephew, right. It's ok if you admit to buying that game. I did, and it looks incredible. And I'm sure most of the other console owners here will be doing the same.

Hold your money for now. It's still buggy as hell. Memory leaks that will give you the 'memory exhausted' error after playing for more than 20 minutes. It's not an MMORPG in the sense of WoW. There is an ending to the game which kind of turned me off about keeping my subscription. From what I read, they placed a cap (5) on the amount of upgrades you can place on weapons and armor pieces. There's been 4 different threads demanding the lift of this cap. Not sure if there's been a response to it yet, but there certainly was no warning about the change.

If you still want to play, they have the free single player mode. Subscriptions opens more content such as character slots and special events such as Guy Falkes thing going on right now. I advise against subscribing until they work out alot of those kinks. Thank God I didn't go for the Founders option.

Lately I've been reading that this game isn't looking too good. Not graphically, but the gameplay. Overcomplicated controls, enormous amounts of bullshit you have to go through before you can assassinate someone, etc.

I'm gonna check it out anyway though.

I'm going to agree with Sean here, console games really blow in comparison to PC games when it comes to a "hardcore" game. If I want to dick around then the Wii is great, but if I'm going to play anything with decent graphics, a good story and really going to rope me in I want to play on my PC, which is all a console is, a gimped PC.

To be completely honest other than missing out on the latest NCAA and madden I'm 110% glad my wife talked me down from buying the ps3.

Hell I had teh 360 for free and dumped it. That may have been a mistake because SHIT IT WAS FREE. But otherwise console = poop.

Looking forward to resident evil tho.

Odd. Some video I watched last night from Jade Whatsherface (Producer) made it seem like the controls were kind of easy. Nobody will really know till it comes out anyways.

GoldenEye breaks the mold... my god that game was amazing... They need to port it to the PC and give it a graphics update, that would rule


Honorable mention for Halo but it's 59x better on PC.
The halo controls are so clunky and inprecise on the XBox, so much better on a PC, I rather enjoyed Halo for the PC but hated it on the XBox. (And I do like Halo 3, but I'll just play it occasionally at a friends until it's out on PC then I'll bend it over).

Yeah, I have all three "next gen" consoles and the only game I play on the 360 is Guitar Hero 3. I'm on my PC a lot more.

But back on topic, I bought Hellgate and I'm pretty disappointed with it. Bleh. I'm playing Tabula Rasa and COD4 currently though. Big thumbs up for both games.

PC gaming will always be a step ahead of console gaming. The problem is that's not where the profit is, since keeping your computer up-to-date is a lot more expensive than plonking down a couple hundred every few years on a console.

But the games that do come out on PC are usually top-notch. My current obsession is Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Portal's probably one of the most original games I've ever played, even though it was so short.

Consoles offer great fun and entertainment. I just had about a 20 hour mortal kombat marathon with a buddy visiting from out of town. The same buddy that I used to play golden eye and what not for hours on end with as a kid.

Doesn't change the fact CONSOLES SUCK compared to PC when talking about not only most games but most certainly FPS.

I have been playing it since Beta. It is an awesome game that still needs alot of tweaks. I got the founders offer so I am hoping conituing updates are well worth the 150$. So far I have beaten the game through Nightmare mode and am currently playing and Elite Hardcore character. It is VERY close to diablo /WoW/Guildwars/add another top mmorpg here all mixed together but in my eyes it isnt the next Diablo. For that try out Flagships other game Mythos www.mythos.com it is indeed just like a modern d3. Anyway back to playing HG ;)
