View Full Version : A Fool and His OTF...

Yay my first complaint thread! Well, you know, official character complaint <g>

So I'm taking a certain sorcerer who is a little cranky out for a hunt in OTF. I just got there, and I'm on the fork in Market Road when a little snerty wizard we'll call "E" walks through briefly. "E" apparently hates cranky sorcerer (nothing surprising, most characters should hate said sorcerer, but you'd think the *players* would know how to separate the two...yet I digress). "E" is the only wizard I've seen, and he is certainly the only wizard that has passed said sorcerer in the last 30 seconds. Well a few seconds after "E" has passed, a meteor swarm starts up.

Of course, I sent a demon to find "E", and he has already left OTF. So odd. I leave OTF immediately and send a demon to find "E" again, and "E" is apparently unpresenced. Of course, I call "E" out on this on the thought net, and he denies it (duh, who's going to admit to having started a meteor swarm right where every OTF hunter has to walk through to get in or out of OTF).

Now, if you want to be a complete jackass about something, that's cool. If you can't separate out RP and a player, fine whatever. And if you're going to deny being really, really asinine...well that's hardly surprising, so again whatever.

What really, what kind of jackass casts a meteor swarm right at the opening fork on Market Road in OTF just to get at someone who hasn't ever actually engaged you in PvP? Granted, only Sabreon's crew was hunting in the area as far as I know, but yeesh did we buy our wizard?

end rant!

Eldorone is who Querthose is talking about and I still don't think he cast Meteor Swarm. I've seen him in OTF for awhile now and have never seen him do anything irresponsible. Eliaku, on the other hand, I have seen cast Meteor Swarm in farming areas, like the Moor, which I almost became victim to more than once when my wizard was in Voln favor hunting out there. Was Eliaku online last night at that time? I don't remember if I checked or not, because the whole thing seemed pretty childish.

And like I said last night, just about any mage is going to be wearing 204 in OTF because it pads other spells. Hell, I personally have my wizard wearing all kinds of crap to protect heroism and mobility, let alone other spirit spells that seers love to dispell (104, 105, 112, 204, 207).

The only wizard in the area was Eldrone, he passed right by within seconds of the meteor swarm, he hates Querthose and had just initiated a rather unsavory interaction not 20 minutes later, and his only excuses were, "why would I do that?" and deflective responses instead of "when was this?" or "where was this? It couldn't have been me then". Add it up, and it doesn't leave much, if any, doubt.

Sorry buddy, you were pretty off, dare I say out of line, for your response last night. Jumping into the fray and then accusing me of 'dragging' you into a 'concocted' story with little information when I responded to some of your statements made me wonder if you two weren't friends.

Bottom line: don't defend people who are asinine enough to do things like that. Putting others at risk because you have a vendetta against someone but don't have the stomach for the consequences of a pvp interaction is pathetic

My information was based off of what you youself had said on the amulet, which was pretty far reaching. I know you're an ass in the game and while I don't know Eldorone personally, I have had plenty of opportunities to see his hunting style and etiquette. Both are well above what you have so far displayed. So, I give him the benefit of the doubt and simply chalk you up to being your usual drama queen self.

Your evidence for accusing someone of casting Meteor Swarm is a bit...rocky. Hell, my wizard could have cast it and you would have absolutely no idea about it or proof that it was me. I have no idea why in the world you would publically accuse someone of something like that without an iota of evidence.

I was once on the wrong end of a loud mouth's accusations before and it was Maliku doing the accusing and creating problems between me and other characters like Jenovadeath. Maliku ended up dead more than once over it. If I were Eldorone, Querthose would most certainly be dying for making false accusations, which can and obviously does create multiple issues.

That's just my 'uninformed' opinion, though. Please don’t helicopter slap me over it. And I certainly hope a contradicting opinion doesn’t remove you from the center of the universe, because that’s what all your assumptions seem to suggest you think of yourself.
Oh yeah, now that we’ve had an argument, I have to go Meteor Swarm you; I almost forgot.

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Eldorone echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "Oh dear, trying to out-lie the follower of the Serpent. How *charming*."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Eldorone echo in your mind:
[General]: "I was hunting there, you fool."

You hear the faint thoughts of Jullius echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "I'm sure he keeps that spell on scroll for just such a purpose."

You hear the faint thoughts of Jullius echo in your mind:

The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:

You hear the faint thoughts of Jullius echo in your mind:
[General]: "Hi there. Want to drag me into your concocted story?"

You hear the faint thoughts of Eldorone echo in your mind:
[General]: "I'm sure you have many enemies that would cast something like that around you."

You hear the faint thoughts of Anmut echo in your mind:
[General]: "Some wizards control their powers where others might be harmed."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "Oddly enough, only one wizard passed by. Perhaps the Adepts have been busy in research?"

You hear the faint thoughts of Eldorone echo in your mind:
[General]: "You've never attacked me, so why would I attack you in such a manner?"

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "Child, that's a question for you to answer not for me. I'm merely stating a fact."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "Be careful next time. If you're going to play the fool, do the damage control yourself. Don't make us do it."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "Though, thank you for the show."

You hear the faint thoughts of Eldorone echo in your mind:
[General]: "Whatever you say."

You hear the faint thoughts of Jullius echo in your mind:
[General]: "You're not going to last long in Old Ta'Faendryl, sir accusor."

You hear the faint thoughts of Eldorone echo in your mind:
[General]: "What a waste of time for all it was, too."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "Yes, it was my first time afterall."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:
[General]: "I agree, but mostly a waste of mana for you."

You hear the faint thoughts of Querthose echo in your mind:

oh please, Quert kicked some Evarin arse on the thought net.

Cute quotes, but they don't change the circumstances. I wish I had logged it, but when one wizard who hates a character walks by seconds before that character ends up in a meteor swarm..it's not a hard call to make. Given where Quert was, I would have seen any other wizard pass by, and let's not play inbred and pretend there are a million reasons to cast 525 on Market Road in OTF.

Again, that was the part that pissed me off. You don't 525 the Market Road nexus that everyone walks through to get into and out of OTF just to get at one person. I would've just chuckled otherwise. It's not like the spell doesn't take a year to start working.

The irony is Querthose was the safest one there. I had more than enough time to finish my Ithzir in the room and leave; it was everyone else who could've been walking through that would've been screwed. Not that Sabreon being 525'd would've left me in tears mind you...

In my humble and most insignificant opinion, you're totally full of crap. Yes, too bad you didn't log it, or even bother scrolling back up and saving it. Dang that you wouldn't see a need to keep logs of something that just happened that you were about to publically accuse someone of, because you simply have access to Querthose and no longer own him. Whatever.

You alledge that you were victim of a Meteor Swarm, but you still have absolutely no proof that Eldorone cast the spell. So what if you just had a little tiff over him not wanting to be your bitch by providing a familiar gate for you? I think you were just upset because he didn't want to wear the little dress you had all picked out for him and so you made up a little story to destroy his life! Muwhahaha! You obviously don't like his fashion sense.

Also, how long does Meteor Swarm last? Hmm, a little while. I wonder why no one else complained about it, especially since it was at the nexus like you say.

I wasn't in the Barrier but I heard from a friend that someone was casting 525 all over the barrier last night as well.

I am thinking perhaps it IS that person, or another person that maybe still belongs in the ducts and is trying to play with the big boys but can't seem to survive without spells like that.

My friend thought it might be a creature update...But I think more would be bitching about all the Meteor's if that was the case.

There are only so many wizards in the barrier- particularly late at night. And I have no doubt that the one 525 I saw was Eldrone. Having said that, I wouldn't be so quick to blame other castings on him. Eldrone has hunted in the barrier for a while, and he certainly doesn't need 525 to survive. Also, after this thread I wouldn't be surprised if someone wasn't just being a fool for the sake of it. Additionally, Eldrone would have to be an even bigger idiot than I take him for to be caught dead casting 525 in OTF right now (hence the point of the amunet conversation and this thread).

Eh, this isn't really a matter of egos to me. It's a matter of, in part, Querthose's hissy fit on the amulet that night. What got me involved was Querthose accusing Eldorone of casting 525 and implicating that wearing 204 (because I'm sure Querthose was attempting to locate him) was proof of that somehow. At which point, I mentioned that a lot of people, including me, wear that spell to pad other spells. He then located me and that was a step in the wrong direction from my point of view. Then he comes here to accuse Eldorone, yet again, of something he has absolutely no proof of, which is a very foolish thing to do in my opinion. And having been a victim of something similar I felt the need to comment here as well.

Jenovadeath, I'm not going to outright state who my wizard is. If you can't figure that out for yourself, just based on logs and comments in this thread alone, well

...

As far as what happened between us: I think you had lost something in OTF and because I was in that area Maliku said that I took it, which was not the case. You and your crew came to my Moonglae table to "confront" me, and I know I didn't care for your tone, so I think I told you to go screw yourself, or something along those lines. I later ambush killed Maliku and told him, well, let me find the log... You ask, "Please continue spreading lies and we can repeat this little exercise, okay?" He later tried to kill me, but found himself lacking, so I killed him again.

Either way, the whole ordeal was because someone accused me of something that was not true. It created a lot of unwanted drama and I see this situation with Querthose as the same. Some retard accusing another person of something where there's absolutely no proof. And now, we're hearing that someone from the 'ducts may have been casting 525 all over the place.

To me, that’s what this is all about.

Heh, the problem was resolved, but seeing this issue with Querthose kind of got my attention, because it seems like the same thing that happened between us.

Hell, something similar happened the other night. Whoever bought Doppelganger was using Quake (probably an imbed) in OTF and for some strange reason my wizard got blamed for it, because people went around making false assumptions/accusations again. This, like before, created unwanted drama and I had to straighten it out before somebody ended up doing something stupid.

Your above statement only affirms that you do think that you're that important to other people. I could care less about you. So much so, that I involved myself in this ridiculous situation, because I felt bad for Eldorone having to put up with the same crap I went through.
