View Full Version : Do you get aroused when women call each other "slut"?
Cademus
11-05-2007, 11:28 PM
I was just wondering when women call each other "Slut" "Cunt" "Whore" or even "Bitch" or something profane or derogatory against the female sex organ does it arouse you in anyway?
I was thinking perhaps it's the way women are treated and seen in society which makes us aroused when these things occur. When women degrade each other or put on a degrading garment such as a G-string or some other sex item it arouses men because it reminds them "Hey, you're doing that because we run society. We have control of the world and you're showing us that we control it by doing that to yourself."
A serious debate about this topic only please. Are women mistreated in society and are they being subconsciously controlled by it and do men get off by it?

I do have a pair of slut shoes. And they do arouse my husband. Does that count?
Not sure why the author of this thread thinks that's a bad thing though...

No, this is a serious topic I was mulling in my mind. I know it's difficult to say things on this forum without sounding sarcastic, but in all respects this topic was started genuinely.
With that being said, I'am a virgin still. I'am 29, about to do my residency up here in Cambridge (UK, not the American state). And beginning to venture out into the world of dating/relationships.
I saw a woman the other day at hospital who was arguing with her boyfriend or possibly husband. I think it was over going to a private hospital or using the public ones (in England all our public hosptals are paid for by the state, no insurance required. However, one may get better facilities and treatment if using the private ones, which can be very costly.) Anyhow, he demanded she use the private hospital, she wanted to save some money.
In the end, he won by saying some 'manly speak' "my woman only gets the best and I got the cash to back it up." Afterwards, she just cuddled up into a ball in his arms like a kitten and began to say things to him like "I'm your bitch" and "No! I'm your slut!". It was strange, at least to me. But then again, I never dated in my life and perhaps I was missing some data as to why she would do these things.
Anyhow, my conclusion is essentially society dictates what is acceptable behavior in a myriad of situations including the one above. So, if I were to expand the above situation to how women are treated in general I can only assume that since men have more power in society then women then with this power what they want most of all is control. If a woman does things that makes her seem more pliable or submissive she is telling her man that she wants to be controlled by him and thus appears more desirable? Even, "slut shoes" which I'm going to venture a guess and say is a pair of high heels are
designed to make women more controllable. Think about it, it's very hard to walk in one of those, very clumsy, perhaps even makes one look silly. All the more to appear easily controllable.

...You're really asking for it.
However, I can tell you that if this question is something you have been seriously thinking about for a few days, that's the reason you are a virgin.

Honestly, my boyfriend would never EVER call me slut, nor would I refer to myself in that way. If you have some god damned self-respect you don't going around calling yourself a slut or let other people do the same.
He may not say it to your face, but he's thinking it. :D
Consider me not having any goddamned self-respect because a guy jokingly (or even in bed) calls me a slut and I don't care. If it bothers you that much that you get defensive, then there may be some truth to it.

If someone is kidding around I wouldn't get bent out of shape but if someone gave it to me like a pet name, it would bother me. I have some respect for myself.
My gay boss and I call eachother sluts all the time, it isn't a big deal. But I would hope my boyfriend loved me enough not to call me something like that.

I guess I was just raised to know things like that aren't appropriate. I would never call any of my family members something like that. My parents taught me that terms like that aren't a sign of respect.
So, I'm sorry my upbringing to respect people is offensive to you CrystalTears.

I just think you're overdramatizing and exaggerating something like a boyfriend or husband calling their other half a slut, especially since you don't know the context of it.

I am just saying from my point of view it doesn't look like respect. My boyfriend wouldn't even use that to joke around or even in the bedroom. He like myself grew up learning that terms like that aren't a sign of respect. I'm again sorry that my ideas of respect are different from yours.
It's my opinion.

It isn't the name that you are called that is hurtful. It's the fact someone you love and who is supposed to love you calls you a name. If my husband calls me anything in an argument it will hurt. But it would hurt just as much if he called me a non gender specific insult like "stupid" or if he called me a name generally reserved for females like "slut". So the question is stupid.

But see, it depends on the name and whether the person takes it the wrong way in the first place.
If the person who calls you such knows that being called slut, bitch, cunt or whatever offends you, then yeah, it's meant to be offensive. But if the receiving person doesn't take offense to words like that, and then are said in jest or in a sex act, then it's taken differently as well.
I just don't feel it's fair to blanket words into generalizations of the kind of person who would use such words.

Nice post IMO. I have to agree to a point. Like VA and CT, I'd never seriously say something like that to my family or someone I actually care about. I also generally take the other person into account (like my mother has absolutely no sense of humor, so I avoid joking around with her).

I'm not like VA because I don't assume that someone who calls someone else a slut is from bad upbringing.
I don't believe it's something that should be said lightly, but again, it's all about context and who is involved.

I'm glad I could add to the fun by posting something completely off-topic.
When it comes to certain bedroom activities I'd rather treat her like a slut than call her one. Actions speak louder than words and we are all entitled to our fantasies afterall.
Honestly, I'd never call my girlfriend one jokingly or not because we don't have the kind of relationship where that is ever ok. To each their own though.
My friends are a different story altogether. Flip the switch, bitch - close the door, whore - twat, cunt, skank, are never words or phrases we are shy in using with one another, though it's always in good fun.
