Khaladon, I've seen you post here before. Now that the heat from your departure may have cooled a bit. We are all wondering here as to what your plans for the game may be?

My personal suggestion to you is to exact some kind of revenge against the game. Between you, Tsin, Ardwen, Tolwynn, and Hakonne and a couple of others, you control about 80% of all the high end gear in the game, unless a whole bunch of old players decide to reactivate. You should get some kind of Trust going. Control the high end loot/silvers and you control one of the most important reasons why people play the game.

You could take all the 'high end gear' and nuke it at this very moment, and people would still be able to play the game. In fact, some would play it more genuinely because they could play without having to worry about that shit being raided off their corpse if they die, or disarmed, or dropped, etc. Especially with the resale value that gear represents.

No, getting rid of 80% of the high end gear or wiping out 80% of the coin value of the lands would not affect the game negatively in any way; but in fact make the moderate end gear worth more not to mention drive the resale value of silvers up. ;)

I never disliked him either, I rather enjoyed him contributing to any of the photoshop/art related threads... he wigged out and kinda threw him offself off the edge though... I think he just needs to take a break (this ban'll help) and return as backlash... take the jokes in stride and they go away (for example occasionally someone calls Xyelin on his wheelchair antics, but he plays it off and no one harps on it)

Okay, this is confusing mess and as such I would like to clarify some things.

There are two seperate and distinct people. There's Backlash and there's Cademus. Both of these people have made NUMEROUS accounts, but it was Cademus (not Backlash) who impersonated Khaladon.

The reason Backlash is involved in this mess is because one of the many accounts that Backlash posts under is shared/used by Cademus. Backlash has admitted to me that the reason for this account sharing is a result of using www.bugmenot.com. When I went to track the set of accounts linked by Cademus, a small subset of suspicious accounts showed up (Buggy/Mosquito/Good Karma). I was then able to link that small subset of accounts to Backlash and that's when the whole account linking mess began... Mosquito is linked to Backlash, Backlash is linked to GS-Phoenix, etc etc... And on the other hand, Cademus was linked to a whole set of accounts of his own.

Chillmonster is not Backlash. There are so many dead giveaways linking Backlash to other accounts, for example, one account logging off and then another logging in immediately afterwards, using the same IP address, using the same AIM name for multiple accounts. Chillmonster, however, has been logged onto the PC at the same time that some of Backlash's accounts have been logged on using different IP addresses. This would require quite some ingenuity on the part of Backlash to consistently do this and never screw up. It isn't consistent that Backlash would have been so clumsy with his other accounts, but so technically flawless when logged in as Chillmonster.

So I'm sorry for the confusion, I was just as confused about this mess as you guys, but I must conclude that Chillmonster and Haywood J. are not Backlash, that Backlash and Cademus are two distinct people but that they had a history of account sharing.

For the record... if you share your account with someone, then any violation they engage in is added to your account. You compromise your account when you share it, and if they get banned, then any account they used while they were a member of the PC gets banned along with it. In this case, Cademus used Buggy, so they both get banned, then any account linked to Buggy gets banned, any any account linked to Cademus gets banned.

Don't share your account, don't be a nice guy and make an account and let anyone use it on bugmenot.com, it can come back to bite you.

That's in regards to a seperate issue; posting on behalf of a member who is already banned. We've had incidents where someone gets banned (read SeanyDigital), and then wants to make some revenge post and gets a friend to make the post for them. This is not allowed.

Besides, from the way Kranar explained his research, he would have had to go through a lot of trouble to post as chillmonster, while he made no attempt to do so with the others. It's still possible, but still can't be proven.

Yet.. we pulled 5 accounts out of thin air and based upon those items I listed, hit every single one of them on the mark... oh wait.. maybe not a direct mark, but someone new who was happening to share an account with the individual we claimed him to be.
