Selling:

A ruby-studded satin elven tabard

Old pinworn container from the first Illyan Cloud merchant ship.

Holds VLA (very, very large amount), more than doeskin vests and the like.

Can easily be altered into gowns, cloaks, dresses, robes etc.

Weight is an issue with around 10 pound, but lightening will help.

Would like to sell today.

I wouldn't go so far as to say easily altered, but probably possible.

I've had several pinworn containers turned down because the modifer (tabard) needed to stay the same.

I bought many back then at the mnerchant and never once ran into a problem having any of them altered. That includes gowns, dresses and robes.

As always might depend on the merchant, but from my experience I've never had a problem. You just cannot turn pants into a cloak, but a tabard is a worn garment that can be turned into other worn garments

Maybe your tabard was scripted? Sometimes nouns need to stay the same to activate scripts.

Nah. Tabard wasn't scripted. It was the same thing as yours.

I'm just pointing out that I had the same item and got turned down. I was told because a tabard isn't a gown/dress/robe/etc. Nor would there be enough materiel to make one from it.

I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm saying it might not be as easy as your post suggests.

Sell it... I have had three for 7m a piece for sale for a while.

Not sure how you got lucky with two interested parties so quick.

Odds of getting more than 7m are slim though.

But, really he says he wants it sold quick - hes got a bid thats as high as most BOs usually are on these items. He has no real reason to hold back from selling the thing.

I sold many of these 3 years ago already for 5m each.

These days, they are very rare and have a going rate of 6-10 m.

What I forgot to mention: they are highly illegal and have not been sold anywhere near in this capacity ever since the Illyan Cloud in what was it, 1998?

You will not see pinworn items holding this much released again.

I wanted it sold quick before I change my mind and keep it as a gown alteration option for a character I have too little time to play these days (I'm female). And Ebon Gate is still on, so it IS a rare opportunity.

Have you seen any actually sell for 10m? I have seen one or two in shops for 10m, listed by people who are known for overpricing things.

I have. This is an item that has been _highly illegal for GMs to make_ since it was first released, 10 (!) years ago.

I would not be surprised if it went over 10m if I held an open and longer auction. The buyout is a bargain.

I recently sold a bellychain that did nothing for 10m.

This item holds as much as a backpack and can still be a pinworn gown;)

One weighs less, and is already altered to a skirt - which is apparently not done anymore.

Didn't you know? These are easily altered into things like skirts or gowns or dresses.

PS I've also seen these go for 10m+ but that was quite some time ago when the market was much better. Mostly they have sold in the 6m-8m range from my experience.
